First time at this location and got the avocado quinoa salad. I asked for no super food crunchies. Got my food and it still had the crunchies on it so I asked them to remake it. When I asked the manager to remake the food he walked away very visibly annoyed. After he brought back our food he returned to the back and we could hear him complaining about customers to the other employees. Food was good but probably will not return due to rude staff.

Shouldn't take 24 minutes to make a sandwich.

Great sandwiches and salads! Came in wanting a sandwich I had a couple weeks ago but they didn't have it - learned that they alternate the sandwhiches pretty frequently. It worked out though because I tried the Spicy Calabrian Turkey Foccacia sandwich and it was great too! Our server Bradley was great, super personable and helpful.

Stingy portions of meat, this is the most important part of the meal, yall should make sure customers are getting enough protein, we aren’t paying $20 for lettuce. The Goat salad was good but with about 1 or 2 oz of chicken, not satiated, maybe a 5 year old would be? But this isn’t a kids meal. If this is your way of cutting costs you will also cut customers. Thanks for the 3 flakes of chicken meat on the GOAT salad.

Picked up lunch here and the food was just okay. My salad and sandwiches were adequate, but the potato salad side I ordered was horrible. The whole thing was runny and the potatoes were completely undercooked. The potatoes were literally all crunchy! Unacceptable. The pesto pasta side was mediocre. Tasted mostly like feta cheese instead of basil pesto. And the oatmeal raisin cookie was not good and tasted flour-y. Overall not impressed with the food.

I’m a regular at Mendocino Farms, and it’s always a great experience! The staff is consistently friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which makes every visit enjoyable. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and prepared with care, they never disappoint. It’s one of my favorite go-to spots, and I highly recommend it!

I hate doing reviews like this, but, I have to do one on this place. I usually like Mendocino Farms, however, this location in Encinitas has messed up my orders so many times, I've given them way too many chances. From food being wrong with each order, missing food items in orders and delivery not getting delivered. I can't go back. This is ridiculous. If it's only been one or two times then ok, but, there have been so many issues with getting food from them, I'm done.

If you're craving fresh, flavorful, California-cool sandwiches in a relaxed, beach-town vibe—Mendocino Farms in Encinitas is your spot! I swung by today and here's why I’m already planning my next visit:

What I Loved

Flavor-forward sandwiches! I tried the Asian Chicken Salad. Every bite popped with freshness.

Vibe = chill beachtown meets urban green. Bright, clean interior with stylish wood accents, loads of plants, and that slow-California rhythm that just relaxes you.

Friendly staff who get it — Especially impressive, since I'm always asking about gluten-free or low-sugar swaps. They were happy to recommend—and actually remembered my “no sauce, extra avocado” next time.

Quick and consistent service. Even at the lunch rush, food came out hot in under 10 minutes, and they nailed my custom order with zero mixups.

Great outdoor seating. Sun-washed patio had perfect shade-blocking umbrellas and that easygoing Encinitas energy (also dog-friendly for your pup’s occasional snack moment!).

My experience at this restaurant could not have been better. The employee named Caleb was an absolute legend. He was incredibly kind, funny, and helpful. Caleb was utterly perfect and made my day. From the bottom of my heart, I love you, Caleb. Give that man a raise.

This was not my first visit to this location, but I felt the need to share my recent experience. I arrived this evening around 7:30 p.m., and most of the tables were empty but dirty, so I had to settle for the least dirty table. I ordered a salad, and the lettuce was old, but the toppings were good. I also ordered an iced tea, which I always look forward to because I like their unsweetened passionfruit iced tea. Before I could get a refill, an employee emptied all the beverages and started cleaning the dispensers. This was at 7:45 p.m., and the restaurant is open until 9:00 p.m. The woman who took our order and delivered our food was nice, but overall, I did not have a great experience. I don't think it's appropriate to empty the beverages with over an hour left and customers eating dinner.

Love this place! They have the best gluten free bread I've ever had. Plus that have my favorite iced tea. 😍

So disappointed! I always get the not so fried chicken and Peruvian sandwich but this is a second time was horrible.
The Peruvian meeting wast not even chewable and not so fried chicken looked like boiled chicken. Taste and looked bad.
I’m done with Mendocino Farm. I will go to local businesses.
