Fun place to people watch. We have regularly supported DXT from the inception and during covid. Yesterday my friend and I were there to celebrate a milestone and the service wasn’t good. She was seated five minutes before I arrived and was given water, a menu and a place setting. Our drink order was taken and I was never given a menu or place setting. Her burrito was delivered 10 minutes before mine and we had to ask for my food and her side (mine was cold). I realize it’s not a fancy place but 10 minutes for a two top with an easy order is no way to handle food. My friend had a burrito and sweet potatoes and I had a taco and beans. She was finished with the burrito before I was ever served. The server never returned to ask if we needed anything but her brought the check before clearing the empty plates and told us he was ‘cashing out.’ It was a $70 meal with a 10% tip. I never leave less than 20% but the service warranted this. Hopefully management will address the very basics of food service.
