Their bakery items were so stale it was hard to believe, bagels were ok. rushed and disorganized at the counter.
For a basic cup of coffee without refill $4, quite expensive though good taste. The eggs nothing special, flavor too basic, and small portion. Essentially your paying for the outside atmosphere that's okay
Great, informal place for breakfast!
Absolutely wonderful experience. Wonderful staff. The man that served us our food was wonderful. The food came out really fast. Coffee was good. The soy chorizo was very delicious and not too hot. They are super busy and they did mess up an order but it was okay. It was understandable. Even being busy they still had a ton of tables to sit at.
When you walk into a coffee shop, you should feel welcomed. Both girls had their backs turned at the counter and didn’t acknowledge us. A simple “Hi, I’ll be right with you” would’ve been the polite thing to say. They also didn’t ask if we wanted our cinnamon roll warmed up. Overall, the service was unfriendly and disappointing.
Wonderful coffee house in a former traditional train station. Great food and service, cute retail shop and amazing patio to enjoy the 🌡️ and people watch along the coast highway
Pannikin Coffee & Tea is one of my favorite local spots. Their chai is perfectly spiced—comforting without being too sweet—and I always feel well taken care of as someone who eats gluten-free. They have great g/f baked goods, and the gluten-free blueberry muffin is my go-to treat. Moist, flavorful, and just the right amount of sweetness. Such a cozy, welcoming vibe here. Highly recommend!
A cute coffee and tea shop with a great beachy boutique! The cinnamon raisin scone and gluten free chocolate chip muffin were good. The mocha coffee was very hot and yummy.
Cool coffee shop built into a historic train station. There is a large indoor and outdoor seating for hanging out (no wifi if you are trying to work). Coffee and food that we had was good...decent amount of food options beyond just pastries. Service was friendly...though took some time with how busy it was. There was a pretty consistent line out the door through the whole time we were there on a Saturday morning. Cool spot...would definitely go back.

I've been visiting encinitas for years but haven't been down in 6 years. I really looked forward to getting to the pannikin. It's a beautiful restaurant with a wonderful menu and delicious coffee. I can't wait to go back.
Gorgeous cafe with nice view and vintage items

The service is really spotty here. The staff only do the bare minimum and look absolutely miserable. It's a real shame because it's such a charming space. They also don't seem to pay much attention to hygiene and cleanliness. The place is pretty dirty. Everything and everywhere you touch is sticky and covered in grime. Looking forward to this place hopefully being revamped.
