I have heard that this Subman sandwiches were good. But I went to eat last Saturday and it was not what I was expecting. I think the Cali Subway is better than this sandwich that I ate! :/

Thought we would try this sub shop in lieu of the one down the street that we normally go to. Boy were we surprised. The people here were very friendly. The subs were larger and tasted equal to or better than the other one. Also we saved at least $3 on each sub. We will certainly be returning for more. Excellent experience.

Simple, no frills sandwich shop with about 3 dozen sandwich choices. But don’t be intimidated by the choices, it’s basically the same 7 or 8 ingredients. Fresh bread would be the upgrade I’d recommend here.

Just had an Italian sub from there and it was the best sandwich I’ve had in a long time. Very fresh bread and great ingredients!

The greatest to ever do it, some say Tim himself invented sliced bread solely so he could invent the sandwich and then open subman, absolute legend

I love Subman and I love Tim! I’ve been coming here for over a decade and I’ve never been disappointed. This place is the best local sandwich place in all of north county San Diego. The perfect antidote to a bunch of hungry tummy’s after a beach day. Do not sleep on the Subman! Ask for awesome sauce!

I ordered catering for 150 staff at a local high school. Their owner, Tim, was absolutely amazing to work with, from start to finish. He was helpful in suggesting quantities and recommending their top-selling sandwiches. I wound up ordering seven of their 6-foot long subs, each with a different meat/cheese combo. If you’ve never ordered their 6-footers before, all I can say is DO IT! Talk about a WOW factor. Each of the 6-footers was securely placed on a wooden plank which had been wrapped in tinfoil. Each sub was cut into 30, secured with toothpicks, and wrapped in Saran. I was able to transport them all easily. On the side Tim included mayo, mustard, and all the toppings so people could build their own sub. I heard multiple rave reviews from the staff, with many exclaiming, “it’s the best sub I’ve ever had in my life”.

This place is a hidden gem! The sandwiches 10 out of 10! We had a 32 and 35! So good wish we lived closer to come here more often! This will be our go to spot after a beach day.

I am not sure why this place has such good reviews. I ordered the italian sub in a medium. The guy asked me what veggies I wanted, I told him and the he proceeded to just put all of them on the sandwich anyway. I asked for oil and vinegar and salt and pepper, and he could not possibly have put less on my sandwich. They told me the price and I used a credit card to pay. Then they charged an additional 4% without telling me or having any notices printed. (Credit card companies only charge 3.5%, I've never seen anyone charge 4% for using a card!) Then they ask for tips? I'm not tipping the owner of a restaurant, tips used to be for waiters and waitresses who are paid less than minimum wage, not for greedy restaurant owners. Unimpressed.

We randomly stopped by here and were pleasantly surprised. The bread was nice and fresh and the meat was very good quality. The staff were nice and crafted a well layered sandwich.

I decided to try this place after a half day of work. It was between Jersey Mike’s and something new and I really wanted to try something new. I got the Italian. The service was great. Very quickly and just like Jersey Mike’s, you watch them make it in front of you. The sandwich to my surprise was huge! For under $10 this is a great deal. I got the medium size. And as you can see from the pictures, it was huge. I ate half for dinner and half for lunch the next day.

I am definitely going to go back and try other sandwiches as well.
