Thank you SugarBears! I was so impressed with the Lego cupcakes you made for our son’s 6th birthday. The Legos were made of chocolate and everyone commented on how adorable and amazing they looked and tasted! The jumbo cupcake for the birthday boy was adorable! The kids were so excited to eat the Legos and you made the event have such a special touch. Thank you for your delightful bakery!

This place is awesome! My partner and I recently tied the knot in La Jolla and we had the great fortune of working with SugarBears to provide our cake and desserts. The owners were very prompt and easy to communicate with, and when we met them at one of our venue’s events, they were incredibly kind and warm. When my partner picked up our tasting box from their brick and mortar location in Encinitas, the staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating to my partner’s long list of allergies.

On top of all that, their desserts are absolutely amazing! It’s been so hard deciding which is my favorite flavor between peanut butter chocolate, lemon, carrot cake, tuxedo, and strawberry. Now that I think about it, I think my favorite flavor is whichever one I’m eating at the moment. If you are working with SugarBears for a wedding, may I suggest the “small cake and cupcakes” option? You get a large variety of flavors for your guests, and SugarBears delivers plenty for everyone. But even if you go the more traditional cake route, you won’t be disappointed by whichever flavor your choose.

In summary: high-quality desserts from top-quality folks. If you haven’t stopped in here for some sugar yet, make it a priority!

LOVE SugarBears. I got a cake for my Mom's 80th birthday. She wanted something everyone at her party could eat so we got a delicious vegan and gluten free oreo cake. And you would NEVER know. It was moist and flavorful and downright delicious. Plus it was beautiful. And the people there are so nice and helpful.
We will order from them again. They made my Mom's birthday even better with their incredible cake. Thank you SugarBears!

These cupcakes were absolutely amazing! They were custom made for our daughter’s Harry Potter-themed party and totally nailed the look and the taste. Not only were they beautifully detailed, but they were also gluten and dairy free - perfect for guests with dietary restrictions. Everyone raved about how delicious they were, and we loved how the team went the extra mile with the custom touches. Truly magical from start to finish!

I love their cupcakes! 😍 Lemon Tart, Tuxedo, Chocolate Coconut, Apple Pie, Bavarian Cream, Banana Cream, Truffle, Chocolate Mint Chip, German Chocolate, and Pumpkin Spice Latte… just to name a few favorites! They’re incredibly cute and delicious. They have fancy filling like chocolate ganache or tart lemon. Yum!

The Cinnamon Roll and Bomboloni Italian donut were not my thing. The dough is not as sweet, but it might be just what someone is looking for. The Sugar Cookie was actually too sweet for me, but I know someone who loves it. I am mighty busy trying to eat all of the amazing cupcakes anyway.

The owners are the biggest sweethearts and are always around working hard. Their cupcakes and their kindness always makes my day better.

If you like cupcakes, I would definitely give them a try. Sorry for any obsessions or addictions that might occur. I mean, there are worse things. 🤣

Renato and SugarBear provided the wedding cake and minicupcakes for our wedding... and they were absolute perfection! Not only were they beautiful, but they were also insanely delicious. Every guest was raving about how amazing they tasted, and we may or may not have snuck some extra home for ourselves! Thank you for making our sweet dreams come true! We'd definitely recommend SugarBear!

We ordered our wedding cake from Sugarbear, and it was not only stunning but absolutely delicious! We choose half chocolate and half blueberry vanilla filling. All of our guests loved it!

SugarBears is the BEST. I came in for some birthday cupcakes, and Renato, Patti, Jun, and the whole team took care of me like family. They did a special last-minute request of blue icing, which Patti whipped up even before I finished placing my order. Renato added super cute decor to my cupcakes, and they just added so much joy to my birthday. And the cupcakes are DELICIOUS!Absolutely recommend!!!!

Second time getting a custom cake from here and wow do they do the best job in town. So many compliments on my son’s cake!! Jun truly goes above and beyond to make it extra special. Plus their cake is delicious!! The staff couldn’t be nicer, excellent communication & cake was ready @9am day of party for pick up. 10/10 will be back for many more custom cakes and delicious cupcakes just because:)
