Great spot with reasonable Encinitas prices. Went with wife and kids and got a table right away. Tried the chefs sashimi sampler which was some prime pieces of fish. Never forget to complement with fresh chopped wasabi. If you like wasabi, I think you’ll love it freshly chopped!

We ordered on door dash fish just seemed old. It smelled super fishy and low quality and we got stomach aches. Soooo much rice on each roll probably good for kids to fill them up but not good quality don’t recommend, won’t eat there again. It won’t kill you but not good

Warm and friendly staff, very welcoming and my server was great about checking in with me without hovering. The location is clean and roomy for a strip mall restaurant. The only complaint I have is the sushi quality is not the best. Maybe the fancy rolls are better [per the other reviews I read], but I ordered a protein roll that listed the different types of fish it would include and I found that my favorite sashimi [Himachi] was barely represented in the roll.. which was overwhelmed with the other two fishes... this is not how a protein roll should be made...it should be equally balanced with each fish in the roll for balance. But that wasn't even the worst part... the flavor gave away the fact that the fish is NOT fresh. Thank Goodness for the ample amount of wasabi I was provided... no worries about illness, but I doubt I'll return to this location any time soon.

I come here at least once a week, but the man with glasses (who must be the owner) always makes a deal about the sriracha, even when I ask for extra. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning because of this ongoing issue.

Excellent quality and service. We came to the skate park and saw this place had good reviews. Don’t be fooled that it’s in a grocery store shopping center by the freeway. This is a great restaurant. The service was quick, friendly, and thorough. The fish is very fresh. We tried the toro nigiri, green monster, por vida, and shrimp tempura rolls. The price is are super reasonable. The toro was like butter. And the service was so prompt.
