I had the falafel pita and my husband has the burrito (which was a little dey). But overall an ok experience

Great atmosphere. The reason for the low review is the staff… particularly the women dropping food off and on the counter. They are too bothered to help. They ask for a tip at checkout. Knowing we seat ourselves, I decided to tip 20%.. after order. I was overcharged. I could see her look out of the corner of her eye on if I was hitting tip or not. Not a huge deal yet at least say, “thank you”. Did she? No.I brushed it off … found a seat and than waited for my food.

I was told “go get water by the counter”

Not a problem.
The water is tap and tasted like dirt. Literally I went and grabbed my own water bottle.

My food was dropped off, I asked the girl for silverware and she said, “yes go inside and by the registers”

At this point I was thinking, “why tip”.

So my advice … top the cook directly if you want to tip. Other than that, I probably will never tip here again. It’s an option yet when you distsstefully turn the computer around for me to sign (which btw, I never sign for groceries or anything else … it’s an add on… they can use PIN codes or charge as a cc). Anyway, it’s an option but if you’re going to eye me, I’d like to have a little service rather than throwing food down that was cold and made with wrong ingredients.

My two cents. Thanks

Used to Be a Favorite, But No Longer Worth It
Swamis 101 used to be one of our go-to spots for brunch, but sadly, it’s no longer the same. Since they revamped the menu, the selection has shrunk significantly, while prices have gone up and quality has dropped. They now charge for a side of fruit, something the Swamis Inland location doesn’t do. On top of that, they also charge more for egg whites than the other location.

The portions are noticeably smaller, and the staff seems unmotivated—service is not as attentive as it once was. Additionally, the cleanliness has taken a hit, with tables and floors often left dirty. We've given them three chances over the past month, hoping things would improve, but unfortunately, they haven’t. It's no longer worth the inflated prices, and we’re sad to say we won’t be returning. Extremely disappointed to see such a decline in one of our favorite places.

I drive to this specific location for the Chicken Artichoke Soup but they’ve apparently discontinued it. Super bummed.

O’boy Boysenberry smoothie with spirulina and avocado. Heaven in a plastic cup. Always kind, courteous service. Very fun, creative, nostalgic atmosphere and music. Lovely spot. The original and the best.

I don’t think our food was even cooked. Even our “toast” was just a piece of white bread. The potatoes inside of my burrito were rock hard. I asked one of the workers for an extra plate since my kids were sharing and the plate was dirty so I got up and asked her for a bigger plate and she was annoyed by me. Very disappointed and completely waist of money. Shocked to see how many people were eating there.
For anyone reading this. Do not waste your money and time eating there.

I come to Swami’s whenever I am in town and always love the food! However, this last time I was disappointed that they are starting to roll out a new menu that is smaller to stop some food waste. I appreciate the desire to eliminate food waste but was very sad that the multigrain pancakes are no longer on the menu. They are a favorite in my family. I was also a bit disappointed with the person who took our order. She was very monotone and not friendly and it felt like we were an inconvienience to her, even while it wasn’t busy at all.

With that said, my omlette I had was delicious as well as the French toast. just hope they bring back the multi grain pancakes! The person who brought us our food was much friendlier and kind when we asked her a question!

Nice breakfast and a nice setting outside in Encinitas on the 101. Even though it's on a main thoroughfare it's still fairly quiet. The service was very cordial and the coffee is free refills with a few different types of coffee to choose from.

Wide variety of breakfast options. The breakfast taco plate was great. Will be back again. Ample seating and easy to order. Reasonable prices. The food came FAST! Server was so friendly and accommodating. Parking availability was very good.

Great place for brunch
I had the chocolate chip pancake which was a big enough meal for one and came with a side of whipped butter. It was really good. My friends tried the shakshuka, stuffed French Toast and a bunch of smoothies
Everything was really good and the ambience is great, lot of surfers come in after a surf session across the road in the water

This swami’s has been our family’s favorite since we moved here 4.5 years ago. Unfortunately, they recently changed the menu and our favorites are no longer available. We were super disappointed. Some of the items have the same name as previous versions- so be careful. Look closely so you don’t miss the details! I ordered a favorite salad with the same name- which now includes an allergen I can’t have- I didn’t look closely enough and had to order a new salad. The new salad was fine, but nothing special.

I am very disappointed with my experience. I ordered Eggs Benedict, but the eggs were hard, the hollandaise sauce was tasteless, and the bread was not even toasted. My husband ordered a traditional omelette and he also felt that something was missing, too greasy and poorly prepared. Additionally, the staff seemed poorly trained. The line was long, and the person taking orders appeared lost and uncomfortable. I definitely do not recommend this place. Beautiful location though. ??
