This may not be reflective of a normal service since we came in around 2:00 pm. Food was great but the service was so so. Not your typical sushi place where there's a dedicated sushi chef. Once ordered we were one and done. No chef to ask for additional pieces, but again it was 2:00.

Aside from 2 of the "sushi chefs" arguing with, and yelling at one another, the food was disgusting. The albacore nigiri was chewy and old (ate half a peice) and the handroll came with aoli on it? I left after half a bite. A disgrace to the art of sushi

If I could give zero stars, I would. But since I can't, I'm stuck giving one. The food might be okay, but the service is absolutely horrendous. I've never felt the need to leave a bad review until now. The experience was beyond disappointing. The rude Frenchman in the photos came out and yelled at me and my friends for simply sitting on a bench that wasn't even directly in front of the restaurant, and no one else was trying to sit there. He rudely told us to leave, condescendingly explaining how restaurants work as if we were clueless.
When we tried to take a photo of where the bench was, he stormed out, screaming at us and followed me and my friends down the street, sarcastically asking if we wanted to pose for the picture. It's absolutely humiliating for himself and the business. I feel terrible for anyone who has to endure this kind of treatment. He single-handedly ruined what could have been a pleasant experience for so many people. His behavior was demeaning, degrading, and utterly unacceptable. He treated us like we were less than human. This kind of rudeness and lack of basic decency is infuriating and should never be tolerated. Puts the restraunt to shame
DO NOT COME HERE. WORKER WAS HORRIBLE. Me and a few friends were sitting outside on a table that I didn’t even know it was a part of their establishment, there was two more open tables next to us and a man came outside with a really rude attitude asking weird questions. My friend asked “ do we need to order to sit” and he said “ yes that’s how restaurants work” when I took a photo for the review he followed us down the street and yelled at us. We were peacefully sitting not bothering anyone. Absolutely unacceptable and rude. If I could put negative stars I would.

Service was very good. Extremely attentive waitress and all the other staff were pleasant.
Sushi: Rolls are well enough, nothing special but by no means bad. The salmon nigiri special I had was above average and I’d come back for it.
Between service and food id absolutely come back. Pretty sure they are of the same owner/brand as the location id the Cosmo in Vegas.

Friendly staff & great atmosphere for drinks but...
freshness of seafood - questionable
sanitation 0 out of 5
I watched the so-called sushi chefs make rolls and other dishes while wearing black latex gloves which was a nice touch until...
I saw that they had no meaning.
As they (more than 1) were walking around touching everything insight. From cabinets, touch screens, etc.
Then coming back to handling the raw ingredients in plain sight.
sorry, but it was unpleasant to see

We arrived at this place today at 7pm and asked if we could get a table. The waitress at the entrance said there was one hour wait due to bingo night, but that we could leave our name and come back in one hour to get our table. So we left our name and came back at 8pm. When we came back, the same waitress and another waiter told us that we could not be seated yet, but to come back in 10 minutes. We came back at 8.30 and they said that we could come back at 8.45. I then saw on their Instagram profile that they closed at 9pm, so I asked if we could still eat at 8.45 and the same waiter said that there was no problem because 9pm is only the time until you can be seated, not when they actually close. We came back at 8.50 and a third waitress told us that they could not seat us because they close at 9. Not-so-fun fact: all the other sushis close at 9pm so thank to these people we could not eat anywhere else at this point because it was too late and we had to order a pizza at home after wondering around for 2 hours. I really never experienced such a poor service, they should really train their staff better. If you think that you will not have a table before your closing time do not keep saying “10 more minutes”, just tell people you don’t have a table so they can go somewhere else. Thanks to them our anniversary night was ruined.

Food was tasty but sushi chef absolutely butchered the bluefin and Hokkaido scallops which was a real shame. Good ingredients, treated terribly. Asked for fresh wasabi and was given more horseradish paste. Service was slow and we had to ask multiple times for soy sauce. It’s a nice location and has potential but not a great experience.

It took a few minutes after we were seated for someone to come and take our order. But the staff were friendly and helpful.
Music was obnoxious. Blaring repetitive beats.
I ordered the Lilith roll (avocado and cucumber w/ sweet soy sauce). It was very good! 🍣

I came here 2 time when vacationing in Del Mar with my friend in the past and loved it. This time around we came again 2 more times in August, on a Monday at 12:30 PM. and a Tuesday at 12 PM., both times the restaurant was empty. All together both time we ordered a Rainbow Roll, a 5 Roll Set, 2 Spicy Hand Rolls and a Miso Soup. My miso soup was luke warm, the rolls were good not great, needed more fish inside, less rice, but was lacking a bit was service and continuity of delivering rolls... long waits between rolls which made the whole experience drag on. My friend was much more of a fan of Temaki than I was because of the unique warming up of the seaweed covers on the Hand Rolls. If we come again I'll have to try other dishes other than the Hand Rolls.
Atmosphere: fun trendy upbeat. Service: OK. Food: fell out of love with Hand Rolls and luke warm soup.

Not gonna waste my time listing all the things that are wrong. Food is good - not great. Service started good - downhill from there. Not sure if the patrons or the staff were louder and more obnoxious. Not coming back.
Toilet was backed up - never fixed - we were here for over an hour.
