You literally order outside and are presented a number. When I return and have a small party I will skip that and sit at the bar. There you can order and get “normal” service. The restaurant is large and bright with an indoor/outdoor feel and potential. The food is good. We ordered the whole bird 4/5 (perfectly cooked and nicely spiced just not the best I have ever eaten) and fries 4.5/5 (order large they are addictive).
The beer selection is solid. Wine by glass or bottle in each main variety. Craft cocktails.
It’s been a year since my last visit to Crack Shack and it will also be my last visit. I ordered takeout this evening and what I got was disappointing in every respect. The Coop Deville was a sloppy tasteless soggy mess centered around an overcooked chicken breast. The fries were overcooked and the dipping bbq sauce was the consistency of water and was thrown right into the trash. So much for the satisfaction of a craving for Crack Shack which is now done forever.
Went for the gf chicken and was underwhelmed. Greasy and had no flavor. I had real high hopes but probably won't return.
Great fried chicken! Great drinks too!
Thought it was just bar food. But I was delicious. Served hot, like really hot. Like food should be served. Great lunch spot. Would go back.
The katsu chicken sandwich was really good. Highly recommend!!!!
First time visiting in Encinitas location Customer service was spot on

Wow this place like not going to lie is so fire 🔥
The French fries were so CRISPY AND THE chicken Oh 👌 so Crispy and hot. 10/10
Had a bad experience and I let them know and immediately was helped out. I felt a lot better coming back knowing they care enough to try to make my day a little easier. Fitz the manager was a great help and an awesome vibe coming in. Thank you again!
You better off just going to McDonald's?

Food is not great. Fries are overly crispy, chicken is not crispy at all. Drinks at least are pretty decent. This place has too many screaming children and not good enough food to be charging premium prices.

I always smell good food coming from this place. I've eaten here twice now. If you're a parent with kids, with a family with kids, or anything relating to having kids with you, then this place is for you.
This place is kid friendly, has this sports bar like feeling but does have a bar for the parents/adults to have a drink and enjoy themselves while the kids go and have fun, run around and be loud without worrying about ruining the atmosphere or other fellow diners' experience.
The chicken is really good along with the names of the dishes. I didn't expect the name of "The Crack Shack" to be a chicken place, but it's a really good place.
Kid-friendliness: For people who have kids/families, want to enjoy seeing a game, and would like a drink, this place is for you!
