Well, I always say, three strikes and you're out! The Habit will never be a habit with me. I've tried 3 different locations, urged by people who love it. I think it's the worst burger I've ever had! I would even rate McDonald's or In & Out ahead of this overpriced, sloppy mess! I will never be back!

They mess our order up every single time. We ask for grill chicken sandwich plain no cheese and every single time they put cheese even when it was ringed up right and the little paper says no cheese! and we have to wait for them to re make it, even when we explain this to the person taking our order it still happens every time but the last straw for us was last week we decided to get again give this location another try and I order a grill cheese kids meal for by toddlers and the bread was moldy! Disgusting!

Had a delicious Double Char and sweet potato fries with iced tea. Really good servers, friendly and helpful. The place was really clean and an excellent fast food place. I got so into lunch that I forgot the picture until I was mostly done eating. ?

My friend and I had time for a quick lunch but wanted something more than drive-through, and there was a Habit close by. I had only been one other time at another location, and the Encinitas location was more pleasant. I felt . We went up to the counter to order and were helped by a very pleasant young man who was patient as it took me a couple of .minutes to choose . I wasn't super hungry and went for the kids' meal with grilled cheese, and my friend had the chicken burger. Our food came out pretty quick and looked very appealing. The grilled cheese was just as it's supposed to be..hot and grilled edges of bread..my friends meal had all the trimmings and I liked they offered condiments for the fries.I also tried some of the jalapeños peperocinis which added some spice. I was impressed with how clean and attractive the interior was. There is also patio dining available, but it was a hot day, so we chose to stay in.There are also salads available, but I feel 10 dollars is a high price point for a casual establishment. But I will definitely be back to try a burger!

Ordered New Spicy Chicken sandwich, fresh & tasty. Onions Rings were made just right, crunchy & delicious. I had dessert, chose Chocolate Sundae from 2 flavors offered ( chocolate or strawberry), impressed with quality of soft serve vanilla ice cream, however a bit disappointed that they used chocolate syrup & called it a chocolate sundae. Generous serving size for the price. Gentlemen that rang up my order (twice) was very attentive & polite. Aside from the cook, there was a female at the front counter also working, she appeared occupied with take-out & pick-up orders, however she was indifferent & aloof, her attitude was one of intense focus on her tasks & was not interested in attending to other customers. I stood at the counter for several minutes & she never bothered to inquire if I needed anything or ask how she could help. I waited & the gentleman that took my order initially, did so again when he returned from wiping down tables. For the most part, my experience was pleasant because I went there to eat & the food was good. The air conditioning made it pleasant enough to stay & eat at the location. Except for the male employee that appeared to be flying solo & the cook that prepared food, The Habit had an efficient team serving customers BUT I think you could do without the female employee who was also at the front counter, she's definitely not a team player, her unhelpful attitude & poor manners are the reason for my 3 star rating.

Great place to relax and the service is top notch as well! The burgers themselves are decent but not something to rave about. The meat was a bit overcooked and lacking flavor. Still worth visiting as service was awesome and it is in a nice quiet shopping mall in Encinitas.

Being from California, I think we're obligated to vote In N Out as best fast food burger, but I actually like the Habit better. The sesame seed bun and the burger patty being a little thicker than In N Out's, plus the teriyaki char option all sway my vote, not to mention their milkshakes are better too-cookies n cream is my favorite. Yes it's a little pricier, but the size of the burger also makes up for that. The employees at this location are nice as and parking is easy

I must have had a bad burger cause this place has all these good reviews. My burger was weak sauce , my fries were wack , and the salad was sad! I feel sick after eating here. The food quality was poor poor and I regret ever spending money here ?
