Amazing venue, amazing ocean views! Service was impeccable! Food was average for the price. Would spend my money elsewhere. A cocktail purist would have sent multiple drinks back to the bar.
Really nice place. Valet was absurd; did not take cash but wanted tips in cash. Food? One plate was excellent; another was mediocre. View was superb.
The restaurant is lovely, beautifully appointed with coastal furnishings, and the view is breathtaking. The service was excellent, but the food was only adequate and not outstanding, especially given the price. We will return to sit in bar which is also beautiful with both indoor and outdoor seating.
Amazing service. We were here for our anniversary and we were truly pampered. The food is amazing and the cocktails delicious.
Expenisve dishes! Short rib, very dry: no veggies, but tortillas made it drier. Had to buy bread separately. Expensive valet parking, of course not validated
The food was much better than I was anticipating. I had fish and it was so good. We ate late at night, so didn't get to experience the views. But overall would recommend!
We went to the restaurant to celebrate my mother's 90 birthday and everyone at the restaurant made her feel so special. We were immediately greeted and Mom was wished a very happy birthday. The waitress was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about the food. The quality and sophistication of the food was amazing! It is now our new favorite restaurant.
The overall food and dining experience was really nice. However, returned to car to learn the valet had caused damage by hitting gate and side mirror detached and hanging by wire and the window panel was dented. While the restaurant experience was good. The afternoon was ruined with out of town guests visiting. Alila and VAGA, while outsourcing the valet they are still responsible for mgt of vendor, there is a charge for valet btw, and made for bad end to VAGA visit. Would expect more professional and careful service.
Stopped in for some breakfast with the wife. Staff overall was mostly friendly. The wait time to get anything in this place seemed a little absurd considering most of the tables had already been helped and it was not very full. As soon as we were seated we had ordered an apple juice & a cappuccino. It took about 20-30 mins to get the cappuccino and then another 5 or 10 mins for them to tell us they were out of apple juice. Around the 40-45 minute mark of us being there we finally got glasses of water. The waiter who was supposed to be helping and serving us never came to take the rest of our order. When our order was finally being taken it was by somebody else, who we felt was rushing us. The menu was explained to come with 1 main, 1 side, and 1 drink. We had ordered our mains and then the person taking the order more or less just walked away without letting us order the rest of our sides. When the food came out we had asked for hot sauce(which we never got). It took about 30 mins to get the food and when my omelet came out it was barely warm to say the least. Nobody came to refill our water or ask us if we needed anything else. Maybe it was just an off day for them, but my experience here was subpar and underwhelming for the amount of money we are paying to stay in this resort.

VAGA is such a gem! Nestled right between S. Ponto and Grandview Beach, the views alone make it worth the trip. Service was a little understaffed the night we went, but honestly it didn’t take away from the experience. The liquor collection was impressive (whoever their buyer is—well done, I was genuinely proud!).
We had a wonderful time enjoying good drinks, the ocean breeze, and that laid-back Encinitas energy. Definitely one of those spots that captures what makes North County special. I’ll be back for sunset tequila neat soon!!🌅🥃

Beautiful rooftop restaurant. We arrived at prime time on a Sunday for brunch and there was plenty of room and no wait.
The views and ambiance are great with the outdoors seating. They are good with kids and have high chairs.
The food is okay, not bad but nothing special.
Great valet for $10.

Gorgeous views, inviting atmosphere, exceptional food, and truly spectacular service! Raye made my birthday dinner unforgettable with her thoughtful attention and warm personality. A few weeks later, I returned with friends—and to our delight, Raye was our server again. She instantly remembered me and my birthday, which was such a sweet and personal touch. My friends and I enjoyed the same outstanding experience as before. I’ve dined at many high-end restaurants, but rarely have I had service and hospitality this memorable. I’m already looking forward to my next visit—and hopefully another chance to see Raye!

We went in between lunch and dinner which wasn’t the best idea. I need to go back for dinner to really appreciate the menu.
Apart from that, food was amazing, the burger, chicken sandwich and the shrimps; desert was top…
