If You Enjoy Rudeness with Your Coffee… This Is the Place !!!
Went to Claudine Artisan Kitchen & Bakeshop in Encino hoping for a nice coffee break. Instead, I got a masterclass in how not to treat customers.
Two staff members were rude and condescending, and the manager clearly took the same training. I left feeling humiliated – and the dirty-looking kitchen didn’t help the appetite. If this is “artisan,” I’ll pass.

I reached out using the web form, via email, via phone, even went in - all I needed was some bit size desserts for my wedding. I stared 3 weeks ago trying to get someone to help me. No response at all! Even when I went in and asked specifically and was given the direct mail of Lea - no response. I am SO DISAPPOINTED!!!! Claudine’s has failed me and I am not recommending them anymore - not even the courtesy of a response to say no would be better than absolute silence.

They need better systems in place. Order management is haphazard and inefficient.
No one greets you when you walk in, or even waiting at the counter. Actually they don’t even acknowledge you. Their ticket system seems to be problematic?

But they are all great staff and employees, so it’s not really their fault. The establishment clearly needs to set some customer service standards and improve workflow.

That said, everything else is great. Cute place inside and the food and drinks are consistently FANTASTIC!!
And they make almost everything from scratch, a very busy kitchen. And they do quite a bit of business too so it gets BUSY!

If you're looking for the perfect breakfast or brunch spot, this place is an absolute must-visit! Every time I go, I’m always blown away by the delicious food and cozy atmosphere. My go-to spot for brunch on the weekends when I want to treat myself.

Let’s start with the scones—they are simply out of this world! Fluffy, buttery, and perfectly baked every time. They’re the ideal balance of sweet and savory, and I could easily eat a whole plate of them.

The egg sandwich is another standout. Whether you're craving something hearty or light, this sandwich hits all the right notes. The eggs are perfectly scrambled, and the sandwich is packed with fresh, flavorful ingredients. It’s always a crowd-pleaser!

And don’t even get me started on the parfait bowl—it's the ultimate combination of creamy yogurt, fresh fruit, and crunchy granola. It's light but satisfying, and it always feels like a refreshing start to the day.

I can’t recommend this spot enough! Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or enjoying a relaxing brunch with friends, this place never disappoints. You’ll definitely leave with a happy stomach and a smile!

Very nice, clean cafe where chefs really know what they are doing. Food has great flavor and pastries are available for eating in or on the go. Line to order is steady early on a Sunday. Order food, be seated, server brings the food.

The salmon lox eggs Benedict was one of the best brunch items I've ever had. I would make the 40 minute drive just for that. Service was great, we sat outside in the warm morning California sun and had a lovely time. The hubs and I devoured it with delight.

This place is so good. Affordable prices. Excellent quality food. I got the avocado toast with poached egg and prosciutto, a latte and a fresh squeezed orange juice. I absolutely love this place. I have to try their pastries next 😃
