Davenport's is an excellent choice for celebrations or simply a good meal. The only issue this time was that upon arrival, I was told I had made the reservation for an outside table, which I had not. They said they had nothing available until I pulled up my confirmation and explained that I had made the reservation through Open Table; they were then able to find us an inside table.
Overall i usually enjoy this restaurant but they cannot really accomodate handicap people and last minute reservations. The prime rib was superb. The wedge was ok. I thought the banana cram pie on the menu was a pie but turned out to be a creme brulee banana creme pie. There was no recommended chef specials. We ate outside and had to ask to turn down the music 3x. The heat lamps were good for a while but then died out and they had to do replacement propane tanks so we were cold...
The food and service was,as always, impeccable and managed very well. What's more, and worthy of a 10on this five point scale, was the staff's graciousness in moving us to a quieter corner of the restaurant so we could really visit with our granddaughter and her husband on their first anniversary. Thank you Davenport's. We'll definitely be back.
