Here's a place that I've known for years, my parents used to come here for the chopped salad. I don't live here, but when visiting I've had an occasional meal here. I'm in town, so I needed a to go order. I took a shot, and ordered pasta with calamari. While I waited I had a vile glass of screw top Chardonnay while a woman ( I guess the owner) glared at me with snake venom, just because I sat at one of the many open tables off to the side. The Gent who took the order was polite thank God. I'm now eating the food at my folks house, and it is not good. Bland, very light liquid red sauce and zero seasoning. Garlic??? No. It's a 30.00 plate of food and is bereft of taste or creativity. In conclusion, if you go to Emilio's. stick with the chopped salad, and avoid that mean woman.

Emilio’s has been one of my favorite restaurants for years and I love coming here with my family or bringing it home. Perfect for lunch or dinner and we have some favorites like the bolognese and the famous chopped salad but honestly everything I’ve had here is so good. The patio is nice for a warm day but the inside is cute for a cold evening for a cozy time

The Best of the Best - Emilio's is a Hidden Gem in Encino! Great for lunch or family dinner with some classic old school charm.
Emilio's absolutely deserves five stars! From the moment you walk in, the service is warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming--it feels like you're being hosted by family. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect, and you can feel the pride they take in every detail and generous portions.
And the main event: food--wow. Everything on the menu is fresh, flavorful, and crafted with care, but let me be honest: the chopped salad is my absolute favorite. I crave it constantly. It's perfectly balanced, crisp, and tossed in a dressing that should honestly be bottled and sold on its own. I'd drive across town just for that salad!
Every visit to Emilio's is consistently outstanding. Whether you're there for a casual lunch or a special dinner, you're in for a great experience with delicious food, the tri-colori pasta and the pizza bread are also favorites. Also tiramisu for dessert if you have room. This place is truly a local treasure, and once you try it, you'll understand why it has such a loyal following.

Nightmare experience for my pick up order with Miley at the counter. Incredibly rude and unprofessional. We’ve been going to Emilio’s for over 15 years and love the salads but have never had such distasteful service. After ordering over $100 of food, she refused to give me a few pieces of bread and butter. Miley successfully ruined a long term customer relationship over $0.10 bread. Hope the owners give her some remediation so she doesn’t lose more customers for the business.

As always, our favorite and only place for Italian food. Their chopped salad even without the meats is the best in your mouth. I get chopped peppercinis in mine. Their pizza crust is amazing. Their bread is only surpassed by their bruschetta appetizer which can be my dinner along with their salad. Jaime is our favorite waiter and makes us feel so welcome. A true neighborhood and family tradition for our family.

I wish I could give this place a 3.75. Food is good but not the best. Dishes I would order again would be any salad, sandwiches? Alfredo, and pizza. They are able to take large groups and have a covered patio. There fresh baked bread is delicious. The service is inconsistent. The servers are a little brief.
I've been wanting to go there for lunch for weeks. My experience: no one greeted me, I went for the menu myself. No one took the order, I went and placed it myself at the checkout. The food was served relatively quickly, but they couldn’t bring a drink for half an hour, but the woman brought the bill very actively and pretended for 20 minutes that she had forgotten about the change! My bruschetta was littered with pieces of tomatoes that don’t even go into a salad, and her nose was covered in flour. I hope not from my bread! The entire restaurant was free during the day, they didn’t seat me at a table, but then this woman asked to change seats since I was alone and here was a smaller table! Let me remind you: there were about 15 tables on the loggia, half an hour later they gave me the bill without asking and the restaurant was completely empty! I’d rather cook this at home for myself than enter this woman’s establishment for the second time!!!
