As soon as Pasta Bar received its Michelin star, Scratch stopped allowing anyone to make a reservation for a single person, and this was the last straw in a reduction of things a very regular customer could expect from the various restaurants in the Scratch complex.

The dinner, and the stuff were amazing. The issue that I have with this place is that when you get there, they offer you 3 choices of drink pairings, and not even tell you the price differences, nor that even an extra cost to the $145 / pp that they already charge. At the end of the meal, we receive the bill of $620!!! When really, we accepted to get a bill of $290 + 20% service charge that they apply. We didn’t receive a check, just were told that this is the total. We paid with a cc and did it even receive a receipt. I emailed to their customer service to understand why the bill was so expensive. And in the conversation, it was clearly stated that they are sorry for not being transparent with the prices. If you guys not clear about the pricing, you at least could take this off our bill. Because if we knew that these are the prices, we might go just with cup of wine or so. Very disappointed about the up sale on spot, with NOT even saying about any extra charges. And even more disappointed about the customer service afterwards.. not sure if I want to come back again, to not be charged for $620 for a dinner of 2..

The sushi was probably some of the best I ever had (and I am a big sushi person). The experience was wonderful as well. Very intimate, personal, and great! Wish I had taken pictures of the experience. Everyone was nice and made the experience that much more enjoyable.

What a great experience! Each roll was hand crafted with a little bit of love and flare that you just won't experience (possibly) anywhere else. I'd recommend this to anyone that wants an experience. Pricing ends up being about 200/person. The 17 courses are just enough to hit the spot without leaving you uncomfortably full. Chef Carlos and team knocked it out of the park!

We were excited to go to this place. It looked pretty booked when we made a reservation with one spot left. I paid the $25 for two spots at 8:30pm. We look and look first and eventually found the restaurant, closed up, no one on site and no one to answer our calls. I can’t believe restauranteurs these days take money for reservations when they are closed? Beware when you reserve they may just not feel like showing up…

I’ve been here three times, the first two times where phenomenal. So good I purchase a bunch of gift cards last year to support them during covid. It’s with such disappointment I write this. Went last night to Pasta Bar. First off, only two of the 10 courses had any pasta in them?!! And honestly, I would never want to eat any of the plates again. None sparked my interest or taste buds. Additionally I was incredibly sick all night after the meal. Very saddened that a $600+ dinner was such a let down…

Came here during Covid opening and liked it. Friendly service and good food. Such a different (and better) experience than sushi bar

One of my best dining experiences bar none.

Let us get right to the meat of it: I honestly love this place, and all of its popup children. They are a phenomenal place with an exceptional attention to detail, and I've never been dissatisfied. We've (my wife and I) so far had traditional scratch|bar, sushi|bar, and now pasta|bar (which I'm eating while writing this).Let's take a quick step back and see who I am: I am an exceptionally picky eater who also has an intimate relationship with food and is affected greatly by it (I'm not dramatic, my stomach is). Sound silly? It is, but I have to live with it. I just simply don't like the vast majority of foods, but those that I do like I really really love. I tend to eat things the same way all the time, never deviating from my comfort zone not due to complacency but because of my body's visceral reaction to flavors or textures I don't like - places like scratch|bar help me explore food despite that. Now this to say: If I don't like something I tend to chalk it up to me, not the food itself (unless it is just really obviously not good, like soggy chicken wings). I like very little, and there is very little scratch|bar spins off that I don't like.Sushi|bar took me on an Omakase adventure that was very enjoyable, with only I believe one piece that I did not enjoy (from a full spread). Again, this was probably me, and has nothing to do with the quality or presentation. I had sushi|bar for my birthday and it was a wonderful experience.Pasta|bar totally nailed it with perfect fresh bread, a stellar soft cheese, oil, and honey spread. Bolognese pasta, salad, dessert. It made for an excellent birthday evening at-home dinner for my wife. That's something else I want to touch on: Presentation. Scratch has somehow found a way to make take home food look and feel amazing amid the pandemic. Details like videos of the head chef presenting and explaining the dish, extras, high quality packaging and bags. The food doesn't feel mucky and wet when you get it home. They took the time to figure it out.I don't get to always eat scratch, as you will find the menu isn't daily drivable for those of us who don't daily drive Porsches, but it has become our go-to for special days and dinners.I've always had a great experience with the staff, and I plan on coming back for the foreseeable future - I hope the sushi|bar sticks around, it's pretty phenomenal.

It was a Friday night when we went there and was quite busy so I figured the food would be top quality. I wasn't wrong. They didn't take reservations so we had to show up in person and put our names down in the wait list. We waited for an hour at a nearby bar --which was fine.

Amazing bathrooms. Well stocked and organized, smelt great in which my favorite hand soap was used and did not have to wait for a stall or require a bathroom key (in which is disgusting btw) and easy to read signs to guide my way to the area without having to ask the busy wait staff who are amazing!Would recommend 10/10

There was a group of 4 of us here for a birthday. We weren't able to be seated until the entire party arrived though. But you're able to get a drink at the bar instead.
