Sweet Lady Jane Encino

After hearing rave reviews I went in. Sadly, the prices are insane but more importantly everything I got was hard and stale. This was for my office and I'm embarrassed bringing such horrible pastries. I'll never shop there again.

Unfortunately, even though Sweet Lady Jane was revived by new owners, it is not the same…
Went in a couple days ago, and the sales person was quite rude. She was very dismissive, and acted like it was a huge inconvenience for me to stop in.
Also, the cakes are extremely dry…not reminiscent of how the products were before. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were days old.
This used to be my “go to” for cakes, but I will be going somewhere else moving forward.

Literally the worst matcha I’ve ever had!!! It was grainy, not whisked and a sad green- clearly stale/low quality matcha powder was used. Super disappointing. It felt like they just dumped matcha powder into the milk.

Purchased a slice of milk and berries cake. The bread was grainy. Felt like it was frozen and they left it thawed out. Waste of money.

Currently sitting in front of SLJ in my car eating a slice of triple berry cake w/ cinnamon tea & loving it! I have only received SLJ as a bday treat (unfortunately right before their temp closure), so I decided to go in for myself to see if it tastes just as I remembered — & it did! I can’t speak for the other cakes & pastries in the reviews, but I am satisfied :) The employee was very nice as well.

You have ruined the triple berry cake. I purchased one for a NYE party and I was embarrassed by it. The whipped cream tastes fake and it only had two layers of berries (strawberry and blueberry). I'm so disappointed

Got a slice of carrot cake, frosting had granulated sugar, cake was very dry, currant had sand. Who adds filling of Walnuts

By far the worst cake I have ever had! I can’t believe this! I bought the dark chocolate and the coffee cake slices. Only tried the dark chocolate one and it was soooo dry! This cake was not fresh at all , probably made many days ago! Hard chunky layers of cream with thin dry sponge layers, no moisture whatsoever. Unfortunately we ended up throwing it out and I don’t even wanna try the coffee cake! What a waste of money! So overpriced for the quality! Cakes from Ralph’s are better than this!
They have cute candles though!

Overpriced and poor quality. Tuna sandwich was $19. The lettuce was wilted and brown. Slice of triple Berry cake was $12.99. Icing was hard and stale. Small slice. This is not the original triple berry cake! Not going back.

I’ve purchased cookies on two separate occasions that were old/hard upon serving them at home.

I ordered a bday cake and I totally forgot to pick it up. It was my mistake but it would have been great to get a call reminder. When I voiced my suggestion the Manager said I should have called if I was going to be late. I would if I didn’t forget. Also I tried calling at 5:05 and no one picked up. They closed at 5pm so when the Manager said I could have come and someone would have been there. There’s no way of knowing because they didn’t pick up the phone. I wish the Encino store was more friendlier towards their customers.

This location 6 months ago got the best pastries, cookies, croissant and cakes! now nothing ! i guess we are going to find another breakfast place
