Sushi Katsu-ya (Encino) Reviews
Giving this no place 3 stars overall. They have a 90 minute sit down policy; we ordered our last dish (for 6 people), and it came with 5 pieces. We asked for one more order so everyone can try it, and they said no. Too bad, will not come back for that.
Worse service 😑
best sushi you can get in the valley without over paying. I eat here probably 3 times a week! very good

Sushi Katsu-ya in Encino is a popular spot known for its great sushi and attentive service. Many reviews highlight the exceptional quality of fish, often described as better than other locations. The restaurant is busy but maintains a high standard, making it a great choice for those seeking top-quality sushi. The selected nigiri is particularly praised, offering a value deal that includes ten pieces of chef's choice sushi, a California roll, soup, and salad for a reasonable price.
While the food receives high marks, some customers note that the prices have been increasing over the years, which can be a drawback. Service is consistently noted as professional and friendly, with staff going out of their way to enhance the dining experience. Specific dishes like the salmon with caviar, Honey hand roll, and popcorn shrimp are mentioned as favorites. Customers appreciate the restaurant's willingness to accommodate dietary preferences, although there was a minor inconsistency with the type of wrap used for the hand rolls.
For those considering a visit, parking can be challenging, and street parking is recommended over the back lot. Overall, Sushi Katsu-ya is a highly recommended destination for sushi lovers.
