They are friendly and the food is good.
Something unique on the menu is shrimp gyoza, I truly recommend it!
The sushi is good! Since it is a sushi place, I didn't expect their non-sushi items to be good. But the last time I went, I loved the Spicy Seafood Udon and I plan to order that regularly now.

I'm handicapped & visit/bring Japanese food to an elderly patient in a skilled nursing facility as well as some other Japanese American ladies in the Independent Living section. We all rate the food EXCELLENT. The smile on the skilled nursing patient as she ate her vegetable tempura was priceless. Speaking of which for the amount of food the pricing was very reasonable. Most of all the service is above and beyond. Akita is the only Japanese restaurant in a 25 mile radius that was kind enough to run my order to the car. All others refused, even though I explained I was handicapped & pulling the walker out & walking long distances is very difficult. Domo arigato to Akita for great food, good prices, & services above & beyond.

Coming from the land of Sushi in Seattle and Vancouver Canada - this is the worst Sushi joint ever. Let’s start with the tempura’s - it is done wrong with not enough Batter and the texture is pretty bad. They use tiny shrimps making each tempura super tiny you can take it all in one bite! Their Sushi is lacking taste and some are too moist!

Best sashimi and sushi I have had in years!
Authentic
Beautiful presentation
Will be back next time I’m in town.
I was greeted at the door, all the staff were very sweet and cheerful. The chefs in the back work with pride.
I’m so glad I found this place.
Highly recommend!

We went there for Sunday dinner. Server was really friendly, food didn’t take more than 15 minutes. Was parking available.
Food is really good no complaints. The owner needs to change the menu book because they are really in bad condition but that doesn’t change the food test at all, it’s just a recommendation. If we ever visit in Escondido will definitely stop by.

Really good for reasonable dollars. I got seaweed salad (basically a poke bowl) AND a full Rainbow roll, as a single probably didn't need that much. But I ate it anyway, very good.

One of the best sushi spots in San Diego County. Great sushi and friendly service. The restaurant is a little worn down though. Reservations recommended if you want to sit at the sushi bar.

Food, service and atmosphere were mid at best. Workers looked tired and sushi was ight. Writing this review mainly because I expected 4.7 star food, service and atmosphere, but it most definitely was not.
