My daughter and I were walking around the Poway Farmers Market when we spotted these meat pies. The employee was ver polite. We each had a steak, jalapeño & cheese meat pie. The crust was tasty and the filling was perfectly seasoned. I went back to find out if they were a local company. They are and are located off of Auto Parkway in Escondido. My household is full of great cooks who appreciate flavor, so to eat something that was delicious from the first bite to the last...
Serving at the FamilySearch Library in Salt Lake City, Utah with Devi and her husband Nathan. Generous and lovely people. Salt of the earth. Even in her retirement years she makes a wonderful meat pie.
As a kiwi who's been living in the states for several years, Aunty Devi's brought back a taste from home! These are the real deal meat pies. They can also do bulk deliveries if you live in the U.S. (California in particular, since they have to ship them frozen). Definitely would recommend!
