Wifey wanted some hard rolls right before dinner, so at 4:50 pm I look for a real bakery near me. Aurora Bakery was closest and to be honest, we've been driving by this facility for 20+ yrs and have always been curious as to why there's always people inside and in some instances, a line of people to get in. I walked in, was helped by the girls working there, as well as a patron who shared the mass inventory of items available. So, I got my two hard rolls and a variety of other items, and they are exceptional. We've now got a great bakery near by and blows away store bought bread. Just took us 29+ years to finally walk in.

🥇This is the best Pan Dulce Bakery PanaderÃa in Escondido that I have found 🥳 The Chocolate Concha and Cuernito de Azúcar tasted good! They were soft and a little sweet and tasted natural and good size. There is parking in the back. No photos becuase we ate them all too fast 😋 Clean, organized, attentive and quick checkout. The smell outside brings memories of home some time ago.💕

DOUGH WITH A PISCA OF MEAT IS WHAT THEY CALL TAMALES 🫔 $2.50 EACH, I LITERALLY THINK THEY SHOULD REFUND ME TWO DOLLARS FOR THE EXCESSIVE DOUGH AND CHARGE ME ONLY $0.50 CENTS FOR THE LITTLE MEAT THAT THE TAMAL CAME, THEY ALSO MAKE THE BREADS SMALLER AND SMALLER BUT THE PRICE CONTINUES TO RISE, BUT AS UNFORTUNATELY WE HAVE BUYERS THEY WILL CONTINUE TO SCAM US!

Delicious bread!…..but the girl who serves on the weekends, in the morning, always seems to be in a bad mood. Even if you greet her and say thank you, they make you feel like you are begging for alms, very despotic. I have been buying bread almost every Sunday for almost 2 years now and I prefer not to buy a lot of bread to get out of there in a hurry. A shame because one expects bad service in franchised places...but not in a small business and for the people of Escondido. For now I won't stop buying but it's the only thing they could improve for the business.

Went around 10:30am. The place looked messy. The trays to get your breads were dirty and all over the counter space. There was also debris on the floor. Workers were restocking some breads, so carts were in the way. The selection of breads was ok. We bought five pieces. They were dense and dry.
