LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE. The staff is full of the sweetest humans on the planet, they serve organic coffee & tea, their decaf coffee is also organic and swiss water process so non-toxic!! They care about your health and if you do to, you'll be very grateful this place exists. They can customize nearly any drink to your preference of sweetness, caffeination, and offer alternative milk options. They offer fun seasonal drink creations and baked treats (sometimes gluten-free options are available). Current addiction: their matcha, iced or blended with protein ;)

Best coffee and tea shop in San Diego! Super friendly & welcoming staff, attentive to detail, and welcomes customizations. Always something new being offered every season. Love the matcha and chai. Visited this place around 9am on a Saturday morning. The service was subpar. From the gal that took my order to my last interaction. They all appear to dislike working. They are super slow and have zero sense of urgency. It took over 20 minutes to get a smoothie that tasted like flavored water. I recommend they visit Washington state and see how efficient coffee shops are and can be.

Coffee was great! I loved their snicker doodle latte. Great for non-coffee drinkers as well as they make their teas into lattes which was perfect for my wife .

Blue Mug is my favorite coffee shop- has been for many years. I don’t know why I haven’t reviewed before! Definitely check them out if you have never been here. It’s a great little place for coffee, tea, pastries, bagels- they have a lot of yummy food. It’s a nice place to stop by and grab to go or to meet a few friends and sit for awhile. Lots of friendly people to help you!

First time here. Cute little coffee & tea shop inside and out. The staff was friendly and welcoming.
I came here because I was looking for a good tea shop. I love that they carry multiple organic loose leaf teas, along with pastries and savory breakfast items as well.
I ordered the Lemon Ginger Mint tea for myself and coworker who was feeling under the weather. She said it brought her some relief ?.
All the drinks are a great price as well. Can't wait to try their organic chai next!

A local gem! The staff are always so kind and impressively remember our names and usual orders. The drinks are fabulous, and it's a charming place to relax. If you're seeking a cozy, family-friendly spot to enjoy some coffee, this is the place!

Vegetarian options: Most of the drinks are vegetarian, they also offer oatmilk and almond milk for Vegans. Breakfast sandwhiches can be made without bacon. Bagels and pastries are vegetarian.

I had an absolutely delicious iced matcha latte at Blue Mug yesterday. The matcha flavor was superb and it was perfect for the heat wave. The bathroom was clean, and the staff was friendly. It was very nice inside and a great place to grab coffee, a pastry, or a sandwich. I cannot wait to go back.
