Complaint Against Cute Cakes Bakery
I placed a custom special order with Cute Cakes Bakery for an important event. They required prepayment, which I provided, along with a generous tip to acknowledge their initial kindness. I was issued a receipt and informed that my order would be ready for pickup on the agreed-upon date.
However, when I arrived to pick up my order, the business was unexpectedly closed, with a sign on the door that read, “Closed Until Further Notice.” I received no prior communication from the bakery regarding this closure. I attempted to contact them multiple times by phone but received no response.
As a result, I was left without the order I had paid for, and my event was completely ruined due to the lack of time to secure an alternative bakery. Their failure to fulfill my order, coupled with their lack of communication, has caused significant inconvenience and financial loss.
I believe their actions constitute negligence and possibly fraud. They accepted my payment and provided no service in return, with no attempt to make things right. I requested an investigation and resolution through the BBB to ensure accountability for their unprofessional and unethical behavior. So much for supporting local businesses.

We ended up working with Cute Cakes for our wedding cake after our original bakery shut down and passed their contracts over. They accommodated our original wedding testing appointment so that we didn't have to change plans, and we loved the cake tasting a lot. The ambiance with coffee and a little reserved table was really nice. They also were very helpful there answering questions.
I did have some trouble getting in touch after that, but it all worked out. They were on time for wedding day delivery and everything was in good shape when we got to the reception.
I'm not sure how I feel about the price point because it was really confusing how everything was calculated for the portion our venue package paid vs what we paid out of pocket. The cake itself was very good and everyone liked it. We also got vegan cupcakes, which were well-received.
The almond cake is especially good and the flavour I'd recommend most that we tried.

The fruit tarts are so dry I would not recommend getting one from them. Also the price on their website does not match it in the store so we had to pay a higher price. Very disappointing.

Wonderful staff, beautiful bakery, and DELICIOUS cake. We went with classic chocolate and vanilla wedding cake, they are AMAZING and even the ones we didn't pick we would've been happy with any one of them
Cute Cakes was listed as a preferred vendor of our wedding venue, and after reviewing other options, we decided to do a to-go tasting with them. Although we both couldn't agree on the provided cake + frosting combos provided, we liked the quality of the cakes and decided to order a small red velvet cutting cake for our wedding reception. Most correspondence was done over email, which was easy, and our main contact, Logan, was very responsive and informative. We felt the price was reasonable and appreciated being able to make changes up until the week before our event (added on flower arrangements and a few vegan cupcakes). Our coordinator handled the delivery on the day of, but the cake looked beautiful when we finally saw it. And even more, it tasted delicious. I love that we'll be able to swing by and grab a taste whenever we're back in the area.

I've been here before and it was really nice. My venue for my wedding used them, and I thought it would turn out great. There were several problems from the beginning, but It was too close to my wedding date to find another bakery. After choosing the flavors I wanted, they told me it would not be possible, so what was the point of the tasting? Why include them then? Next, I asked for a simple design but was quoted an extra $300! It wasn't at all a hard design, just some small florals it didn't have to be grand. The tasting included a frosting, and it tasted like champagne. I asked, and they said we don't know what we gave you, so it's possible it had champagne in it? I was very confused. In the end, I got a simple 3 tiere cake, and it was definitely the only disappointment in my wedding the whole night. It was so plain, no color, just white frosting and nothing else. After the wedding, I looked on their website, and there was a 3 tier cake absolutely beautiful and fed up to 50 people for around $300. I had a cake for 25 guests and paid $500, and they wanted to charge another $ 300 for a simple design? They contradict their prices just because it was a wedding. What a horrible thing to do to people. If your venue uses this bakery, I would suggest going to another.
