Filippi's Pizza Grotto Escondido

I had not been there in years. The service was great! Huge portions! The eggplant parmesan was good. Too much cheese in my opinion.
Soup had no flavor. Salad with ranch dressing was watery. Spaghetti was ok. I did not care for the sauce.

Amazing Pizza. Their deep dish is crazy good. Staff were friendly. Service is always fast. Their quality of food is always top notch. I would never order on uber eats because of all the crazy fees, two pies ended up at $118 which is wild. This pizza was great the day after as well. Overall this place has amazing food, but the star of their show is their deep dish pizza.

Hi my name is Benjamin you can call me Big Ben I have to tell you this restaurant is great to bring your family your friends and coworkers. There is bottles on Merlot hanging from the roof.. This places on grand Avenue park at the back, especially on cruising grand on Fridays I love the cheesy fit for a king pizza large and eggplant Parmesan.with torpedo sandwich please please do not forget tiramisu dessert that coffee flavor is awesome out of this world. It’s simple large pizza comes about less than $40 and we are in 2025 come and get it folks.

We had a sm. Antipasto salad and a medium pepperoni pizza. Very good! It came with fresh bread. We will definitely return. This location just might be better than the Little Italy location in San diego

If you LOVE lots of cheese on your pizza then this is the place for you! The food is NOT downsized in any way! I also love the serene, Italian style atmosphere. A nice change from the regular upbeat, overlit, noisy bars/ restaurants in the area.

The Hawaiian pizza is completely covered up by cheese. You couldn’t even tell it is Hawaiian until you take a bite. The ham is uncooked, tastes like taken out of a can and toss in to the oven to let cheese do “the magic” ??
