I've been going to Fridas for awhile and generally love it. Last week my husband and I went I got the Papa with asada and my husband got asada burrito. We were very DISAPPOINTED!! The meat was dry, lots of gristle and hard to chew. I don't think we'll be back.

Best #TacoTuesday in Escondido! Great deal. All Tacos are yummy but my fave is Chicharon Taco. Its a bomb. I did tried the Carne Asada fries too. An overwhelming line up of customers so be sure to be patient. Its a ll worth it.

Great Mexican spot! The food is really good and the portions are a very good amount.The selection of Aguas Frescas is great and they have seating inside and outside along with warmers so late-night tacos will be comfortable.Parking: Only street parking which is plenty depending on the time.

Didn't like that someone had a dog there. Was not a service dog. I do not believe that dogs should be inside a restaurant. Other than that everything was very good.

To have a pleasant dining experience, I am aware of the cleanliness of the restaurant. Frida's location in Escondido has two big trash containers outside. Discussing! I ordered the soy and papas tacos, and they were ok. The service was excellent and very helpful, and I enjoyed the Aguas Frescas. But I am not coming back.Vegetarian options: NA

Moved here (Escondido) almost a year ago. Everyone kept saying “you have to go to Frida’s taco place, it’s wonderful, the meat is great. Well I went for the first time today, and don’t really get the hype, it’s just like any other meat, there was nothing different or unique. Meat is just like any other taco place, and pricey too.

Does not live up to the hype. The food was just ok but not better than the other established taco shops in escondido. The prices Are too high as well. The layout is weird and depending what you order you stay inside or go outside but you have to order and still present your own proof of purchase to whomever makes your food. The Service is awful and the people taking your order when you first walk in barely even greet you, seem moody and have a long face. They do not explain to you the process of their weird set up. The people outside making most of the food aren't any better. None have friendly or good service. Only one person inside making nachos and potatoes seemed happy to be there and was most helpful. There is absolutely NO PARKING! Careful not to get towed for parking somewhere you're not supposed to. Not impressed and will not be returning.Dietary restrictions: Not a good place if you are vegetarian.Parking: There is no designated parking for this business. You have to find street parking around the neighborhood which is scarce and be careful not to park somewhere where u can get towed.Kid-friendliness: Nothing for kids. No kids menu that we saw and absolutely nothing for kids to do even with them having an outdoor area.

I had such a great experience at the escondido location. I had to follow them on IG - turns out they opened a new location in Vista-so much closer to home for me. Stopped by for dinner on their grand opening day. Oh the food! So good, huge portions. And the Aguas Frescas were absolutely yummy ?
