Food was bland and inedible. Threw most of it away it was so bad. Wont' be back. WonTon soup was just OK although the crispy noodles they gave us to go in the soup were stale. GenTso Chicken had absolutely no flavor and no vegetables with it. The Pork Egg Foo Young which was $15.95...well we each took a bite and swallowed hard, and then threw it away.

They had a wide selection of choices...including veggie choices. There were entries and lunch specials...my friend and I got lunch specials. I got a veggie choice....and my friend got sweet and sour chicken Service was good....the waitress came over with menus and gave us time to look. When she came back, she answered questions and took our orders. When she returned with our meals, she answered questions that I had. I like the way the restaurant was decorated....and it was clean and quiet. If I go back, I would try something different....

Best noodles. Great portions! So far all food has been fresh. Always offer to make fresh if want. Soda is always flat

Absolutely love their food! Cashew chicken and orange chicken are amazing! Their lo mein is so freaking good too! I just wish they'd put more than 2 shrimps in their food. Lol still good tho!

Great little spot in Escondido for lunch or dinner. They serve fresh Chinese food in a traditional setting at very reasonable prices. The selection is quite good, and the service is very friendly. I enjoyed their Kung Pao chicken, and the Hot & Sour soup is quite good.

We have been looking for a good Chinese restaurant for some time and this little hide-away has the best Chinese we've eaten yet. Flavorful, well cooked. We will be coming back for more.

This place is a hit or miss kinda place. Prices are low because service is shit and portions are small. Not sure whether the chicken is actually chicken. Also, they use 12 years to serve the food which is really uncomfortable. The woman acts like a North Korean soldier when taking your order.

Really delicious Sweet and Sour Chicken! The beef chow mein was delicious and the meat was really tender. First time we went, they forgot to give us rice, but otherwise it's a really good family owned restaurant.

First time dining in and a second time trying this place. The restaurant itself is pretty spacious and seems to be usually empty. They have a good variety of dishes and specials. I am very pleased to see the lunch and dinner specials, as a lot of other take outs do not offer much more than the family sets. Food tasted great, and portions were pretty good. They mainly get busy with take-out orders.

I was craving my in laws Chinese cooking and found this place on yelp. With that said, I don't think I would eat here again. This is nothing against the staff there. The nice woman who I applaud, dealt with a stuck up customer. I was expecting tea cup and a pot and got it from a bag? Then I was taken aback not using available chopsticks lol and no chili oil on stand by. This place has so much potential, I think they are in the wrong area of Escondido. The food was average but could see the potential if they revamped their menu.

We did carry out. The sweet and sour pork is very good. Another person had the crispy beef and really liked it. The 3rd person had egg Foo Yung. They said it was ok but not what they are used to. Most egg Foo Yung has all the ingredients inside the patty. These had a few inside but most are ontop. Overall it's pretty good and the staff are very professional.

The pandemic affected more businesses especially restaurants. Gourmet Wok is one of those. I love egg foo young. The foo young here is undercooked, tasteless and sloppy. My order was to-go. It was bad enough that the food was not good, but all of the gravy ended up in the bottom of the bag. It was a lukewarm, uncooked, sloppy mess for almost $20.00! I will never go back there!
