This is an amazing spot and gem in Escondido. The service was awesome - she was really kind and upbeat. The food was amazing and served in a timely manner. This is a must if you ever visit my hometown ❤️. This place has been around since I was a babe:).
The cat's meow. There use to be these kinds of authentic American restaurants, this one offering Mexican food, across from Lake Hodges, all over San Diego County, Historically, you could find these venues near lakes, parks, and on the way to somewhere, stopping into after a bike ride, hike, or little ride out to the country. Awesome adventure punctuation on a Sunday afternoon.
Hernandez Hideaway is a San Diego County classic. If you want to be transported to another place and time, go here for some good Mexican food and then hang out at nearby Lake Hodges for a bit.
