Hey, hey the pollo asado burrito with potaoes. Oh boy - fat and delicious. But BEST OF ALL is the green salsa - my, my. They gotta extra large container for sodas but i get that green salsa in that container. Oh boy. I keep a container in my fridge at all times. I go in there, ask for salsa only she automatically gets me the big container. My daughter lives in NC. i have to freeze at least 5 burritos to take to her on the plane. Its embarrassing, I tellya. If i don't my stay there is a nightmare. Its a good spot.

Checked out this place on a local reco. As I entered I was greeted with a smile. My carne asada plate was ordered fast. Place was clean with a delicious salsa bar. My Carne Asada plate arrived and was HUGE.. Meat was tender and juicy. Guac was fresh as well as the beans and rice. Well worth it

The Menu here is a bit of a challenge if it's you 1st time here. I went here because i went to the movies at the Regal. The food was good but not something i would rave to friends about so i could only give 4 stars. Service was good and fast but maybe because i dont speak spanish i felt lik they could really care less that i was eating there. I got Fish tacos and one had multiple pieces like the fish broke apart, but the second one was much better. One piece of fish, Super crunchy and lots of sauce cabbage and Salsa. This was my 1st time here and i will try the Veggie Burrito next time to see if its a better value.

Just bought a burrito from them yesterday, and like every other COMMON taco shop, they make it mainly beans, overpowering everything else. I also must note that I purchased their one of their priciest burritos on the menu! And paid for mostly beans. Smh. I took it as a learning experience since it was my first time here , Not sure if it was a bad day for them or if this is how they regularly make the burritos at Jilbertos, but I def wont go back here again. In these times the way restaurants charge we have to be aware and conscious where and who we spend our hard earned dollars. There is plenty of QUALITY taco shops that still make sure their costumers leave with their moneys worth, properly serving whats on the menu. Escondido has plenty of other options to offer, dont make this your first choice..
