I used to hit this place multiple times a week growing up, I'm so sad to see its gone! RIP Center City Cafe!

With 7 floor staff and 3 cooks, this restaurant is poorly managed. Half of the restaurant was empty; they were experiencing a rush. The food was satisfyingly greasy with large portions. We watched as customers waited, in disgust, to have orders taken and receive their drinks. If you like biscuits and gravy, go somewhere else. They place cooked biscuits, by bare hand, into a grocery bag and into, what appears to be a broken warmer. Then they take it and place it in a microwave. The kitchen proved to be distracting with the grease running down the wall.

This place is an amazing hidden gem. You feel here more like home than at a Diner. The portions are huge and the food amazing. I stop here everytime I pass through from AZ. My favorite is the Mediterranean Omlette. The facility is clean. There is enough parking. Everyone is friendly. Go stop by.

Have always had a great experience when either ordering to go or dining in. Fave things to get are the eggs benedict, wraps, fried chicken and most definitely the Cinnamon Roll. Staff is very nice and place even has a dog friendly outdoor patio.

RESTAURANT has been under new management and the food is incredibly good! I would highly recommend this to anyone who likes great food!

I stayed at the Hotel right next to it and have been wanting to try it, so glad we did. My daughter loved her pancakes and the cinnamon roll was huge I mean enormous lol enough to share for 2-3 people. Can't wait to go back and try something else. Everyone plates around me looked really good

Today on my way to San Diego I stopped at Mila's for breakfast. I'm a very very picky person. However , Victoria had the BEST SERVICE! From the moment she sat us down till the moment we left her service was just excellent and she had a smile on her face the entire time like a great server should have. I came to Mila's for the cinnamon roll and I accidentally messed up my order and Victoria fixed my order with no problem. She got me exactly what I wanted and more. I have a very high expectation for customer service and I have to say Mila's by far has had the best service ever ! Next time I ever come this way I'll definitely stop again! Food was excellent everything was on point the taste in everything was just perfect. Awesome way to start the day off with a bunch of beautiful smiles everywhere:) thank you VICTORIA !!

I came here today with a friend hoping to have a good lunch . The only thing I liked about this cafe was their spacious parking space . We didn't get acknowledged or greeted and when an employee came in she walked passed us and said sit where ever you want . I didn't like their service so I checked out .

Huge portions, great service. Got the Cinnamon roll and biscuits and gravy. Definitely PLENTY of food. Restaurant was clean and I was greeted promptly.

Party of 4. About 10am. Not busy. Service started out great. By the time the food arrived, we were the only people on that side of the restaurant. Service still good. Finished eating and sat there talking. Check delivered and paid. Service ended. We sat there talking at a table full of dirty dishes, and empty coffee cups. Server never returned... I bussed the table but the server never said another word to us. I could understand if the place was busy, but it wasn't. Don't think I'll return. 3 stars because the food was good, but not good enough to make me ignore the unwelcomed feeling.

The omelettes are huge. Ingredients are mixed together, not just sitting in the middle of some folded over eggs. My wife ordered the pancakes and regretted the order when she saw on another table how much fries or onion rings you get with a burger. The pancakes were good though.

Too bad this used to be nice home cooking restaurant but it's going down in flames. Building purchased complete with signage out front. Indicator that issues were ahead when they changed to breakfast and lunch only. Limping to a slow fade away... Bumma

First time visitor to Mila's Cafe, we had a groupon which was a great way to encourage us to try out a new place. This uses to be known as the Center City Cafe and has a been an Escondido landmark on the south of Center City Parkway for many years. The decor is very reminiscent of a classic country diner with booths along the window and those large round booths in the corners. There is also an outside covered patio shaded with vines looking very inviting. It was a joy to come here for brunch, The food was very tasty. The menu had a few dishes on it that were not typical of a country diner menu. The Cobb salad was generous on the toppings. The Halibut dinner was tasty with the fish juicy and flaky. Perfect. Coffee was free flowing. This was a very good experience for us and will make us come back again to try something else on the menu.

Great food every time, good service and tv's to watch. This is one of the top three breakfast places in Escondido. Good food is worth a little wait.

My husband and I like to come here whenever we're in town. The food is always on point but the service is amazing! I appreciate the genuine smiles and the fact that they don't make you feel rushed to pay. Every time we eat here there is long lines and a little bit of a wait but it is well worth it! I usually order potatoes because they add all the extra vegetables but the last time I was there I ordered their half sandwich with soup and salad. I left wanting more! It was a simple lunch with a positive atmosphere. Great job!
