I found this place was the first place I've found gluten-free French toast. I had to substitute their pancake syrup for strawberries, but it was fabulous. They get the bread from a local bakery. My friend had tasty biscuits and gravy. We both enjoyed and I look forward to trying there other locations in San Marcos and Vista (I think).😊

Today was our 34th anniversary and we decided to go out for breakfast. We had not been to this restaurant for over 20 years so we were curious to check it out. We were seated almost immediately, coffee was served quickly and orders taken and the food came out shortly thereafter. Service was wonderful. Next came the food evaluation. It was great! Pegah's is now my #1 breakfast choice. Prices were good, every bit of the meal was delicious. I want to say if you haven't been here lately, come back, but I don't want it to get too busy haha! Really, I'm glad to found my way back and have such a good experience on my anniversary.

We've been wanting to dine here for sometime now, finally made the move. The staff was first rate and the food was delicious!!! I ordered sausage eggs Benny and my girlfriend had pancakes. Poached eggs and hashbrowns both meals were fantastic. The staff is very welcoming and the food turn around is pronto. Will definitely be returning.

Lovely diner and delicious food. You can’t go wrong with this place. Ask for Francine, she is extremely polite and very attentive to her customers. She does it all with a smile!

Waited for a table, being told I would be seated next. Made sense since all the tables were full. After 5 minutes, and 3 tables opening up, a party of 6 came in and were immediately seated, while we were still waiting. Can't comment on the food since we left at this point

Pegah’s Kitchen in Escondido delivered one of the best breakfast and lunch experiences my family has had in a long time. From start to finish, everything about our visit exceeded expectations.

Let’s start with the pork chops: hands down, the best I’ve ever had in my life. Perfectly seasoned and cooked to absolute perfection—juicy on the inside with just the right amount of sear on the outside. Each bite was full of flavor and tenderness that truly stood out.

My kids ordered the biscuit Benedict, and the hollandaise sauce was outstanding. Rich, velvety, and packed with flavor—it complemented the fluffy biscuit and eggs beautifully. It’s rare that a classic dish like that surprises you, but this one absolutely did.

The turkey on the club sandwich was another standout. You could tell it wasn’t just deli meat—it had a depth of flavor and texture that made the whole sandwich feel elevated. The sourdough bread it came on tasted homemade—crispy, slightly chewy, and toasted just right. It was clear that every element was made with care.

On top of the fantastic food, the service was equally impressive. We were seated immediately, and our food arrived incredibly fast—something that’s not always the case at busy spots like this. Prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality and portion sizes.

Pegah’s Kitchen is the kind of place you instantly want to return to. It’s comforting, welcoming, and absolutely delicious. We’ll definitely be back—probably sooner than later.

We got our breakfast faster than I’ve ever gotten my food anywhere. It was like the cook saw me pull in & said “She looks like she wants a Greek Omelette so I’m going to start cooking it now!” lol. The food was good, the prices decent, but you won’t go there for the atmosphere. It’s not bad, but it’s basic. Similar to Dennys but privately owned…. So I like to support them.

It's good I have no idea how they stay in business barely being open a couple of hours a day....
