We recently moved to Escondido and were looking for a local pho restaurant when we discovered Pho Saigon Express. This was hands down one of the best pho soups I’ve had in the San Diego area. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly. I had the spicy beef pho, my wife had the chicken pho, and we ordered egg rolls as an appetizer—everything was delicious. Highly recommend this place, and we will definitely be back.
Their pho broth here is delicious!! We ordered the P12 that came with the rare steak and fatty brisket - we were fans of the rare steak but not so much the brisket. But the broth was the best broth I’ve had so far in San Diego and I’ve lived here my whole life; it’s so rich and flavorful. Only other place I’ve had good, rich broth was in San Jose.
We also ordered the A2 spring rolls, taro boba, and halo halo. Spring rolls were good. Taro boba was great....

Pho Saigon Express sits on the corner of Broadway and Washington in a little shopping plaza with a great view of KFC. There is plenty of parking and the restaurant seems to be large enough to handle a decent crowd. It was 12:30 and there must have been 25 people in the restaurant. Service is excellent as water was brought, orders taken and food started coming out a few moments after our order. We being creatures of habit order Shrimp Spring Rolls and large bowls of Chicken Pho....
