Homemade pork katsu and tomago sandwiches on Thursdays! Absolutly perfect. Hand breaded and friend pork on homemade milk break. Beautiful slaw on top. Accompanied by a fresh arugula salad. As good if not better than any I had in Japan. An absolute must for any Japanese sandwich fan. We will be back!

I recently tried the garlic-style ramen at Ramen Mik, it was a the best bowl of Ramen Ive had in a long time. So flavorful!

The broth was rich and umami-forward, with a clear yet deeply savory base that didn’t taste overly heavy — a nice change from the thicker broths you often find elsewhere. You can tell they take pride in the quality of their soup; it had a clean, developed flavor that paired beautifully with the earthiness of the garlic and other aromatics in the bowl.

The noodles were springy and cooked to the right texture — chewy without being gummy — which made every bite enjoyable. I appreciated how well they held up in the broth, even toward the end of the bowl.

What stood out most were the garlc and vegetables: they added a nice depth and earthiness to the dish, bringing out more complex flavors in the broth. If you’re into veggie-forward ramen or enjoy rich umami notes without tons of meat, this style really delivers. The toppings were fresh and complemented the dish without overwhelming it.

Service was friendly and the restaurant itself felt casual and welcoming — perfect for a relaxed lunch or dinner. The portion size was generous, too, making it worth the price.

This place has excellent ramen, maybe the best in North County. Noodles and broth are excellent. I appreciate they also have katsu curry, chicken karage, and other dishes on their menu.

The restaurant was small, but very clean, bright, and had full of energy vibe. All the appetizers were amazing !! The ramen was average, but the Tonkatsu rice was good.
We highly recommend anyone to go there and try all their appetizers!

Ramen Mik is easily one of the top 5 ramen spots in San Diego. We ordered the spicy ramen and the BST, and both were so good. Rich broth, perfectly cooked noodles, and just the right level of heat.

The geso karaage is the bomb. The squid legs were incredibly tender and flavorful, not chewy at all. Definitely a must-order.

On top of the food, the staff was amazing. Friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better.

If you’re a ramen lover, this place is a must try.

First off the ramen was great. Zero complaints. Service was rough for it not even being busy maybe like 5 tables. The apps are so so. I'd come back for the ramen though!

Service is courteous, friendly, and welcoming. We came on a Tuesday at lunchtime. My toddler wanted ramen after school so we ordered the Miso Ramen ($16), chicken karaage ($8), and a salmon onigiri ($5). No lunch specials, but they do offer a kids menu. There wasn’t any wait as food came out under 5 minutes. The karaage was very large and mostly breading and fat. The ramen was disappointing in noodle texture and overall portions, with one paper thin slice of charsiu, and had an off putting taste of spoiled vegetables and a rotten egg. I’m currently on day 2 of an upset stomach and Imodium. I had a bathroom emergency while on my drive home after leaving. My little one shared the ramen broth and noodles without the vegetables, but has been pretty flatulent. On the plus side, I was able to try the onigiri later in the evening and enjoyed it without too much trouble. This was not my first visit, but I don’t think I’d return again for ramen.

What to say...I loooove this place!!! The Ramen is amazing! The soup/broth is a sensory overload. The noodles are perfect never soggy! You can order a side of 'heat' to spice it up if you want! All the servers know what's good if it's your first time and what I love is consistency, it's good everytime! It's cute inside bright and fresh. Try it out! It's a place I will return to on a regular!!!

I wouldn’t have been as harsh on this review if the price reflected how much meat and ramen you get. For a $19 bowl (asked for extra meat for an additional $3), I only got two small pieces of meat. Everything was also a bit bland and not flavorful. Very expensive. Service and atmosphere was great though. I’m just reminded there will never be a good ramen place here in Esco.
