We loved this place! However it is not there anymore, . . . gone!I tried to tell Google Maps that it has been closed permanently, but it's still asking me to comment.[I gave it only one star so it will hopefully be obvious to others looking at the reviews.
It's so appetizing. I had a cousin come into town and she asked me to go back here. Prices were average for the menu.
i give this place double thumbs up. next time i'll be back with my coworkers. bring your appetite because portions are filling.
For three entrees and three coffees, I ended up paying $66. So -1 star for the price rating being inaccurate on Google Maps (Yelp shows $$ out of four).
When you enter you immediately feel the old diner nostalgia from the 50's. Very comfortable! We went at breakfast, the omlettes were fresh and ingredients were cooked just right. I ordered the side of fresh fruit, it was so colorful and delicious. Excellent service too!
They have redone the inside and the food was good. Love the story and want to support after "Rosie's" accident. The cinnamon rolls are top notch thanks to Annette's recipe and help.Get yourself in here.
Great food, great people, positive vibes! Can do attitudes. People wanting to make your day.
Nice atmosphere was my first impression. The food was good. It was cooked quickly. I will be coming back and recommending here. I love the detail on the fruit bowl, it looks so nice and appetizing.

We went for lunch. I had the thiknnest three slice club sandwich I have ever seen but it was delicious. My wife had the Burger with salad which was fresh and crisp. The burger was a two patty monster and was a great burger.
Great food & friendly staff that treat you like family.
We love the comfy feeling of years gone by, like a return to a much more tranquil time in all our lives.
Nice small place at the heart of escondido downtown for breakfast, good service and food quality. Kids liked their pan cakes and hot chocolate there. I tried breakfast special, prime rib eggs Benedict with house potatoes. It was delicious. Breakfast tacos were good too. Will go there again to try other items in the menu. We arrived little after 9 am and there wasn't any wait so that's big plus.
Pick up a polka dot black cushion on your way in if the red metal chairs look uncomfortable, and sit in front by the tower fan if you need to cool off. This location has been a restaurant since the '20s and its latest version is the result of a TV makeover on Restaurant Impossible last January. We loved out visit. Our waitress, Sarah, was great. The food was delicious, and the kitchen made cheerful substitutions and sent out a sample of the Jersey Pork Roll for one of our group to try (imagine that bologna and sausage had a baby). Depending on where you're sitting, you may be able to pick up the free Escondido Downtown Wi-Fi.
