I stopped by here instead of the next door popular coffee brand to support our small businesses. Such a gem. Coffee beans roasted in home and the owner is so nice and welcoming.

There’s a few tables to sit at and enjoy coffee or a pastry. You can also buy bags of coffee to make at home.

First time visit- got a vanilla caramel coffee & a mocha- happy to support another small business as opposed to a big corporation. Shop small, shop local!

The older gentleman that is in there during weekdays has been rude on multiple occasions. He mocked two people about not knowing which size the ounces equated to and continued to be kurt. I walked out and said I’m never going there again!

The owner is very nice. My boyfriend has been here before and wanted to take me, and oh my god when I tell you this is the best coffee I really am not lying. I got the white elephant cold coffee, white chocolate and caramel. It really only took 5 mins for our drinks and food. Service is amazing we got a free cookie as well for writing a review! The coffee is handmade, the coffee beans he makes himself which is super cool. DEFINITELY GO HERE!!!

I have been buying my fresh roasted coffee beans from Safari coffee since I first moved to Escondido over 10 years ago. The Black Pearl coffee is an amazing, flavorful, dark, dark roast. Today I tried their new turkey avocado and bacon sandwich for the first time and it was easily a 10 out of 10. I could eat this everyday. The owner is friendly and the customer service is top notch.

Placed our order for the first drink and the cashier said “well first I need the size and then is it hot or cold?” The attitude that was behind the question is what signaled to me that this is not going to go well.

If I was by myself I would have turned and walked out. I was with family so we ordered and the coffee was not drinkable. It was thrown out.

Mark brews and roasts some of the best coffee. He is a highly experienced roaster with a very deep understanding off all types of coffee. I have been dropping by for a cup or pound for years. I am always surprised when I bring a client and they aak for a special roast and he has it. Safari is definitely the goto roaster. I would recommend him to all the botique cafes too. Definitely a step above.
