The woman working @ 2:30 today was very gracious and hardworking. I can not for the life me understand why only ONE employee was working preparing sandwiches AND ringing in customers. There should NEVER be less than two people working at a time. Radys needs to hold Subway to not overwork their employees. You can not tell me Subway, Rady's or whoever is responsible can not add more staff. Shame on you greedy owners/managers.

I believe we were intentionally overcharged and refused an additional item under false pretenses. Specifically, we were charged differently for the same "build-your-own" item, and we were told that an item was out of stock, yet it was sold to other customers who ordered after us. It appears that the staff were more friendly and accommodating to Spanish-speaking and white customers compared to us. As Asians, we are concerned that this differential treatment may be due to racial discrimination.

Super slow, to pay for chips it took 20 minutes, completely inefficient for a hospital setting.

The girl who attended us seemed very frustrated and bothered with every request. When I was done paying she stuffed two soup cups inside the same sandwich sleeve as if I was going to walk away with a soup cup tilted vertically in a sandwich sleeve. When I asked for a bag she seemed as if she was going to loose it. I proceeded to take the two soup cups out of the sandwich sleeve and she seemed even more bothered when I was trying to recollect myself with all the items without a bag and all while attending a sick child. She was more worried about ringing up and charging the next customer as I was in the way of the next customer from using the credit card machine. All this time not acknowledging that I couldn’t walk away as quick because there was no proper packaging provided. I think the restaurant has given the employees little support and they must have high turn over. You can tell when a restaurant values profit over customer service, it reflects in the employees attitude because they deal with all of the backlash. Although I know this may be a problem w the restaurant not giving the employees proper support the attitude that the employees have, still have alot to say about the over all experience. I did regret not walking further and making it to the hospital cafeteria.

The frontline staff is amazing and do the best they can with what they are given to work with. I think it’s pretty sad and disappointing more care and thought isn’t given to this location. It’s evident it’s not a priority, despite the amount of people served, and the population. Often times the quality of the veggies is poor, and they are often out of a lot of items. I understand that people get frustrated with the wait times, but that goes above the frontline workers, they need support from higher up and more resources. Thank you workers, for all you do!

Place is atrocious. Staff have a stank attitude for no reason. I have gone a few times and was maybe only content one time. Had one of the male workers one day tell me he couldn’t serve me due to him about to go on break and then proceeded to make himself a sandwich and I had to wait about 10 minutes until another worker had shown up. Had a redhead female tell me once that they weren’t serving sandwiches until 5pm when nowhere on there times posted it stated they closed at a certain time. Employees have no customs and courtesies place is extremely dirty for being located at a hospital. Do better, these employees make the hospital look bad.

I had a really delicious Subway club sandwich (footlong) that I split with my buddy. It contained 3 meats. We did not toast our bread. Overall, it was pretty delicious. I added mayo, garlic aoli, and pepper along with all the veggies. Hate the busy San Diego area it's in, but I will eat at my local Subway in Ramona very soon!
Vegetarian options: There were large veggie patties and tons of vegetables to choose from
Parking: Not sure if the parking structure is paid or free, but it's at Rady's Childrens hospital. Found a few free open spaces along the street 1-2 mins away
Kid-friendliness: It was inside the children's hospital, they had high chairs and a large walking space with 1 booth and many tables and chairs
Wheelchair accessibility: plenty of room for people with disabilities and wheelchairs

I was waiting for an appointment decided to get something to eat . The girl there was mopping the same area for like 15-20 mins she saw a line forming didn’t care kept mopping . There was only 3 people ahead of me yet it took me over 30 mins to get my food . I understand there’s only one person but the customer service sucked she would take one order then go to the back for a long time . No :I’ll be right back just wouldn’t acknowledge customers . I felt bad for the people in line who were on a time restriction. The lettuce was pretty old looking I wouldn’t recommend this place go to the cafeteria instead .
Awful service. Understaffed. Will prioritize online orders over in person customers and leave people in line for >25min while fulfilling on line orders. This is also reflective of the overall service and food quality. If you have a sick child and time is a priority, Just eat at the hospital cafeteria instead…it’s a much better option than wasting your time at Subway
The lettuce was orange, and the servers had no professional demeanor and seemed to lack training. When the lettuce was brought up to the server, she laughed and told another colleague in a “wow he said that” type of way instead of in a “wow how do we fix that” sort of way. Just because this is the only choice around doesn’t mean you need to give the customer a bad deal.
