I loooove Sunnyside! My fiancé and I typically come here on saturdays and always really enjoy it. The service is great, the restaurant is cute, and the food is fantastic. I always say this when we're there but I feel like what makes Sunnyside so good is that it doesn't taste like restaurant food. It reminds me of like, the best sandwich you, or someone who loves you, would make to eat at home.

had a nice meal on my future son-in-law. He found this restaurant by talking to a local merchant who raved about it. That merchant was right. Nice place. Small bathroom.

Stumbled upon this lovely place today and so glad we did! The staff were so very friendly and the food was delicious! The Tuscan chicken salad was one of the best salads I have ever had and my mom got the grilled cheese, which was equally delicious! I would definitely go out of my way for this place and will most certainly go back!! I can't recommend it enough, it's fabulous!!!

The best! Paige, Bob, Kate and everyone could not have been nicer. Went each morning while visiting and even stopped on way to airport! Extended family made stops too. Excellent food and friendly atmosphere- a must stop when in area

Really love this little place. They have great paninis and I love their tiny cookies. People are just super friendly and sweet. Definitely one of our favorite places for lunch.

Was super excited to finally try this spot and was NOT disappointed!! After looking through some reviews I decided to order the full good day sunshine panini which seems to be new and add pesto! It comes with a small cup of fruit as well! The service was super kind even though it was busy and there was moderate amount of seating, inside, out front, as well as a few tables they have in the back parking lot area Overall it's a super solid spot and will be added to my favorites for sure!!

The food was pretty good but not great. Food preparation was noisy and could not carry a peaceful conversation.

Absolutely LOVE Sunny Side. This is one of my favorite places to dine in all of the SD area. You just can't find a place quite like it! From the quaint atmosphere, the welcoming owners and employees and the most delicious food that you can watch being prepared with care! Everyone in there is friendly, helpful and always working to make your experience the most pleasant and enjoyable! My favorite things are the quiches, the pastries and the coffee! And of course, the award winning sandwiches are absolutely scrumptious. Im quite sure everything they offer tastes amazing!! Thank you Sunny side for creating such a lovely place and for the mexican hot chocolate cookie I tried for the first time today! That little thing quickly made It to the top of my list as the best cookie I have ever had!

The description looks interesting and the photos and visiting would be good. Eating light depending on appetite helps deciding what and when to eat.

The service and friendliness here is over the top! The food is always delicious. The Cobb salad and the pesto chicken panini that I had today were delicious. I will be back soon!

Today a group of friends gathered at Sunny Side Kitchen to celebrate a dear friend's birthday. We had various panini sandwiches and all were delicious! The owner Kate set aside a table for us out back and really made the day special. Can't say enough positive things about our experience at this charming eatery in downtown Escondido!!

A small mom and pop cafe with delicious paninis. Yelp has rated them as #3 in the top 100 places to eat in the US. The Works for breakfast/brunch has eggs, bacon, smashed avocado and cheese on sourdough. My Arnold Palmer had fresh lemonade and large lemon pieces. Everything was delicious.
