Great little find in Escondido. I know it's been here for awhile but I haven't heard much about it and finally saw a post somewhere else on fb so we thought we'd try it. The diner is a totally cool throwback in both furnishings and decor. Our awesome waitress Rosy was so cute she looked like she stepped right our of a postcard from the 60's and she was more than attentive. She wrote hardly anything down but didn't forget a single thing. The food was awesome and the homemade cinnamon rolls are ginormous and delicious. Definitely go if you're looking for good breakfast grub. We will be back!

First time for me to leave a review but this place is amazing, from the eggs and toast to the country fried steak. This is a must have stop if you are ever in the Escondido area, or even passing by. I'm currently an Esco local so I make sure to eat here as much as I can. I highly recommend the Country Fried Steak, and if you love a good gravy; they have the best biscuits and gravy I've ever had, from coast to coast never had a better dish!

Sweetest little mom and pop place. They have great service and delicious food. Their French Toast is freaking amazing and I don't even like French Toast (hubby loves FT and can't get enough of the FT here)

Sweet little mom and pop place. Service was very friendly and food was made fresh to order. The country potatoes were perfectly seasoned. The French toast is to die for because they use a delicious cinnamon bread

The staff was so nice, decorations give a nice dinner vibe. Manager/chef is an obvious micromanager, scolding staff in front of customers. On several occasions she came out of the kitchen to handle seating on her own, also revealing her open toed shoes! Food was not great, coffee mugs were not clean, food orders were incomplete, and the syrup came in a small plastic package. I am a big proponent of supporting local business, but this was a very disappointing experience.

This was one of the worst restaurant experiences of my life. When you walk in the place nobody acknowledged us for 10 minutes. Another couple ahead of us left. I was foolish enough to give this place another shot. The last time we came here there was hardly anyone there and they forgot about us too. We only went back because of their French toast- which is super good. For the SECOND time they served me ROTTEN, EXPIRED JUICE- which was fizzing and fermented. The manager there doesn't seem to have a handle on that place - their service sucks. I totally get if there is a staff shortage - my heart bleeds for people who work hard in the restaurant business. The food is good - I will say that- but for giving that place a second shot - not worth it- next time I will go to a chain like IHOP where they actually know what they are doing.

This place was on KUSI and thought it was a place we should try. Knowing that restaurants have suffered incredibly during covid we try to eat out more. This is a great little spot with a little soda fountain bar. The food is good, size is ample and service is quite nice. ENJOY

Tucked in the middle of the town of Escondido, CA, we found this wonderful gem of a diner. The food was tasty and delicious! Battered fries were generous and crisp. Topped with a homemade chili! The burger patty was moist and not overpoweringly beefy. The Reuben sandwich was crisp and had a good amount of corned beef to satisfy! All in all good delicious comfort food!

Had lunch today with my husband and son and the food and service was great. I had the Aubrey Hepburn with a burger patty cooked to perfection and the seasoning was delicious and it was plated beautifully.

My wife and I have been going to Suzy Q's since they opened and it is by far our favorite breakfast place. Suzy is great doing the homemade cooking and the staff is very friendly. We highly recommend Suzy Q's!!

Went for breakfast and it was really good. Cute place full of nostalgia. Our waitress was really nice and on top of our requests. The place is up for sale but it would be nice if they kept it up as is and expanded.

The food and waitresses are excellent. The female cook however, is HORRIBLY rude to her waitresses. I felt sad for them and uncomfortable hearing the way she was speaking to them. The waitresses were just doing their job and were also being respectful to the cook despite how mean and disrespectful she was to them. I love the diner, but the cook needs to be made aware she can’t treat people the way she treated those waitresses.
