Laid-back service counter location, with fantastic made-in-house barbecue sauce. The split pea soup was good, and I don't typically split pea soup.

I am from East County and used to the El Cajon/La Mesa locations. Walking in here felt and looked the exact same, if I woke up in there I would swear I was on Fletcher Parkway. Great friendly service with a delicious menu. A lady walked out saying how fantastic it was and telling everyone that walked by they needed to try it. What does that tell you?Parking: We parked directly in front of the door. It is a huge lot with several businesses and a lot of parking.Kid-friendliness: I always went here as a kid. There aren't any toys or anything except for a few gumball/toy machines at the entrance. I'm sure they have a coloring placemat.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking, wide enough entrance and walkway, tables spaced apart.

I've been coming here for 20 years. Food never chages. Prices have hardly changed either, which is amazing in the age of Bidenomics.

It smells amazing and the ribs are almost fall off the bone; thick smoke ring on the pork ribs but might be left too long on the low side or an all day sitter as it was dry enough to chunk. One television in the shop, set on the food network, for what reason, only God knows why.
Best BBQ in town. The ham sandwich is tender and flavorful.

This place deserves 10 stars for how hood the food is. HOWEVER every time we go they're out of Ribs! This is ridiculous especially considering this is what they specialize in!Today I called at 5:30 to order some but once again they were already out.Get your act together Wrang

The fail here simple, they don't grease or butter (not oil but actual fat) toast their bread and the over-saucing of the ribs is no good.
