The food is horrendous. Absolutely the worst I've ever seen in any park in either Europe or the U.S. the only edible thing here are the fruit cups. It's insane that it's still operating. In the attached photo the fries are swimming in a puddle of oil and the bun of the sandwich is absolutely soaked in oil.

Bad enough that the food is overpriced but it was one of the worst burgers I've ever had! Not flavor at all, the main taste was the roll. The entire burger seemed cooler tha it should have been - this was around 11:30am. I'm guessing that my wait was due the fries and by the time they were done the burger was already cool. Just horrible for what they are charging.

This food is absolutely disgusting the hamburgers where cold and the cheese fries also where cold and disgusting I was starving I drove a very long drive and ate it and got very sick the next day. I think even food poisoning it’s so awful that safari park knowing that the scenery is beautiful know that they don’t have to make the food good for many people to buy it in my opinion I want to warn others don’t eat it just because you feel there’s no other choice. You will regret it the restaurant deep in the park is very good but it’s hard to get to and you need reservations I had always ate there but this time this one was very easy to get to by the entrance there’s still no excuse to serve this disgusting food cold and I believe it was old that’s scary. It’s also extremely expensive what I payed for awful food.

The most pathetic boiled potato being sold as "fries" ever.

Worst burger I've had in my entire life. Super thin double patty. Dry as can be. Doesn't taste very good. Fries aren't much better.

Food was okay. Service was absolutely terrible. The cashier was completely high and was barely about to take my order. When I asked for dipping sauce someone by the name of “Alan” threw the sauce at me and walked away. I understand food service jobs can be stressful however there is a level of professionalism is required. This is a place for families to enjoy not to be mistreated by staff because they hate their job.

I’m a little bit biased only because I work at the San Diego zoo Safari Park and what is the best places to eat is here at Thorn Tree they have hamburgers too even french fries too whatever you like you could actually check out their mail if you put it in Thorn Tree Terrace in Google and it will show you out the menu. It’s a great idea and a great opportunity even download the app if you have to have a great when you guys great place to eat at the San Diego, Zoo, Safari, Park, any of the locations

Service was okay, flies constantly landing everywhere with no fly traps or anything. One of the worst burgers I have ever had, very dry and cold unmelted cheese. Super expensive too.

We bought Mac & cheese for my 5 yo-she hated the taste of it. The chillie fries were so good. The iced tea was bad too. The reason we were there was because it was mentioned as Asian cuisine when we googled. we walked all the way from the cart Safari for that Asian food and was surprised to see the menu wasn’t Asian. The lady there said they changed the menu a week ago! So was very disappointed with the menu and the taste. Hence the low rating.

Just plain disgusting…. 20 dollars for a McDouble tasting burger less seasoned.

Luke was such a great help making sure our allergy concerns were met, despite the shift supervisor being dismissive. Thank you for your attention.

It’s a restaurant in a zoo. We got the double cheese burger and bacon cheeseburger, can’t mess that up right? About $15 each. Burgers were over cooked, buns were thick and not toasted but it’s a burger so it was fine. Fries were surprisingly crispy and well seasoned but nothing to write home about. Staff was nice. Ask for ranch and ketchup, while the ranch was watery it helped make the burger less dry.Dining is all outdoors under umbrellas
