Their Adobada and Carnitas tacos are about as good as they get. More costly than your average street tacos, but bigger with a generous amount of high quality meat, along with excellent flavors and textures that put them near the top of the Escondido taqueria heap. The fresh house-made tortillas are a delight in and of themselves. The two creamy salsas, one green and one orange served in squeeze bottles, are a cut above the standard local offerings. Free fresh and tasty chips, free bottled water, and a perfect health inspection report are icing on the cake.

Best Tamales I have ever tasted. The sauces they make are out of this world! Moist tamale with fresh meat and Chicken! The Masa is not thick like most make. Loved them with the green and red sauce.

Possibly the best, Mexican food and all of Escondido and Southern California. The Birria quesadilla was to die for!!!! definitely recommend this to all my friends and family and anyone in the area.

Amazing food! Their homemade tortillas are delicious, and quesaburia is fantastic. You can come in just to buy chips/ tortillas, or get a great meal

Mi Reyna gets 5 stars from me for multiple reasons. Starting off with what y'all wanna know -- the food is bomb asf. Me and my homie split a carne asada burrito and a quesabirria for $20 and awesomely-- on the ebt card Flavorful, the most juicy carne asada I've had in a long while, and the cheese they use is hella good. I loved the sauce, the burrito overall was hella creamy. Speaking of sauce, they gave us both salsas no question-- and both tasted super fresh w a nice kick. They also had what tasted like a roasted chili oil and that was my favorite. The quesabirria was super juicy and cheesy, and it came w onions and cilantro for the consome which was also very tasty. Overall I'd say this place was a pleasant surprise and is a great place to go to if you're looking for somewhere less busy around Grand Ave. One of the few Mexican restaurants in esco that takes ebt so that's a major plus. Good service and good food.

I was in the area and in the mood for tacos. My typical move is to get on my Yelp app and search for "Mexican" and apply the "$" price category and hit SEARCH. Boom. All the great taco places pop up. I noticed they feature "handcrafted tortillas". That's all I needed to hear. It was about 11:00 on a Friday morning so it wasn't busy. I was greeted by Stephanie, (daughter of the owner) who was very pleasant. I learned you can get a street taco for $3.00 that comes on two small mass produced tortillas or a larger taco on a handmade tortilla for $5.00. That's not a hard decision. I ordered two $5.00 Adobada Tacos with onions and cilantro, one with guacamole salsa and one without. Stephanie brought out two very tasty salsas (one light red and one green) that are chilled and in a plastic squirt bottle. She tells me they are on the mild side and for me to beware of the bowl of hot chili oil that's sitting in the middle of every table. Just put on a drop at a time she tells me because it SO hot....that's cute. All I can say is they tasted fantastic. I literally poured the chili oil over the top and filled in with the other salsas. I really liked the guacamole sauce and will definitely get that on my tacos the next time. The fresh handcrafted tortillas are absolutely delicious and everything was made to order. As I was heading out the door, Stephanie mentioned that they are known for their Birria and to come back and buy that the next time. I asked myself, why not get one now? It's only 11:00! So I ordered one Birria taco for $5.00. Delicious again. This is a great family run spot. Stephanie's mom is the owner. They also sell chips, tortillas, Mulitas ($8.00), Quesadillas ($7.00), Burritos ($12.00) and tamales ($3.50 each or $42.00/dozen). I think this is my new "Go To" spot for quality Mexican food in Escondido And look forward to trying more things. It's an easy 5-Star review for me.

very bad, i asked for egg whites and I got sunny side up eggs on top of my chilaquiles with the yolk drenching them all and I'm one of those people that hate the yolk. chilaquiles order had nothing else but a little sour cream and queso seco. sauce had no taste. very bad experience and I really wanted to love it like the rest of the reviews ‍

Ordered chilaquiles through Uber Eats and it arrived burnt and basically inedible. I've never had food arrive in such bad condition before that I wanted a refund, and yet since I don't live close enough to return the food, I'm guessing that's not an option. To me, for them to burn the tortillas and overcook the meat this badly and still send the order out instead of remaking it suggests that they really don't care about the quality of food they serve their customers. Big waste of money, and now I need to spend even more because I still need food I can actually eat.

Delicious food, friendly service, and reasonable prices. Ordered the birria tacos, carne asada tacos, and quesabirria. Tortillas were flavorful and nice & soft. Their spicy chili oil went really well with all the food. Took some tortillas home. Recommend!

Amazing affordable food! The tortillas are fresh and delicious. The shop is decorated with beautiful art and is cozy spot to grab quick food! Their chili oil sauce is delicious but very spicy so be careful. The staff are friendly and were very helpful! Definitely recommend their tacos and quesabirria!
