Really great vegan options. Idk what that other person is talking about. The owners are really wonderful people from the Caribbean and do a lot for our community in Humboldt County so it means a lot to support them. Family business! I walked in craving plantains and I just said I’d love some veggies rice and plantains. They made me the most nourishing meal. Cooked soft veggies almost like a curry? Over rice with perfectly cooked plantains and a refreshing drink with fruit and spices. It truly felt like I was eating food made by someone who loved me. The food has soul and love and the flavors are so good. Don’t sleep on this place. Restaurants like these are gems and staples in our community. They make you feel like home. We had a really great conversation with the owner and they genuinely are awesome people. Besides that the food is so bomb!

I ordered the “Beer Battered Fish and Chips”. What I got, I cannot say. It was soft, cold, greasy, brown and smelly. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a restraint. Needless to say, it was inedible. I will NEVER order from them again. They should be ashamed to send this out to someone. I wouldn’t feed this to a stray animal.

Taste of Bim is my favorite restaurant in Humboldt! I’ve been coming here for several years and have never ordered something I didn’t love. The food is always incredibly fresh and the owner (and staff) is very kind. The atmosphere also is very relaxing, perfect for all occasions. Don’t hesitate to stop by!

Great restaurant and food. I noticed some other reviewers complaining about the staff seeming lazy. The waitress was injured and had significant mobility problems. Since then they’ve shifted to an order at the counter configuration out of necessity. I’m just glad they’re able to stay open through it - I love this place.

Call ahead because they are not usually opened during their posted business hours. Super frustrating since their food is really good.

My husband and I have dined here once before and the food was delicious. We wanted to come again but the last 2 times we went they were closed when they should have been open for 1 and 3.5 hours respectively. The last time the door was even open with an "open" sign in the window. When we walked in I wasn't greeted and saw an older woman sitting in a chair facing the back wall. Thinking she hadn't heard us come in I greeted her first. She asked me what I wanted, so I asked her if we could just take a menu that was on the counter, since she didn't seem to want to get up. She responded with "and take it where, home?" I replied "to the table?" Very confused. She then told me that they wouldn't be open for another hour. Throughout the entire conversation she never got up from the chair or turned around to look at me once. My husband and I felt it was very rude and we won't be coming here again.

Jerk wings were great. The plantains were off-puttingly firm and tasted like the oil they were fried in was past time to change. The pattie had the same oil issue.
The staff was nice.

Have eaten here twice. Ate vegan both times. Some of the tastiest food I have eaten in Humboldt County. Really really enjoyed it. Highly recommended.

Delicious Carribean cuisine in downtown Eureka. Great indoor atmosphere, service and amazing food. I had fish stew and fried plantains. Many options for entree sides, spice levels, appetizers, desserts and more affordable meals!

Vegetarian options: There are a decent amount of vegetarian and vegan options for a place that also serves a lot of meat and seafood. Tasty options too but less options for main dishes and house specialties than for lunch or side dishes. look at the menu first.

Dietary restrictions: Many gluten free, vegetarian and vegan dishes.

Parking: Never been to busy for parking when I am down there. Parking lots nearby but idk if they are business specific or public.

Wheelchair accessibility: big door, spacious inside.
