Sitting here now at a table with a water. Waitress has had an attitude and must think I’m not a good tipper. Her loss. Over 30 minutes and have not been ask about my order. Maybe because I’m alone since I’m here from out of state teaching a class for the state of California. Will be leaving now.

Overpriced food with half the menu being good and half being watered down dishes.

We stopped into the Bayfront for a late lunch after being on the road. Super nice people and great food. I had spicy tuna sushi and a huge spinach salad, complete with bacon, egg, and mushrooms. Husband had Italian food that he devoured. We liked this place so much that we came back for dinner when the family came to town. Five us us enjoyed our meal! Very good wine list.

Went here for my husband's birthday and I wouldn't recommend at all. Service was awful. Took forever for food and my food was cold suppose to be grilled and hot. I asked for spicy teriyaki and got regular, had to ask again for it when food finally came. I ate cold tofu because I didn't want to wait any longer. Asked for a side of broccoli and got mushrooms and some other vegetable with a little bit of broccoli in it and they forgot it and didn't bring it till I was just about done with my meal (would've been done but I was waiting to be able to eat the broccoli with my meal). We were supposed to get a salad and they also forgot and didn't bring it till we were just about finished eating. Luckily my husband said his sushi was OK. Feel awful for bringing him there for his birthday. The waitress barely spoke a word to us and didn't even apologize when things went wrong...she was not friendly at all. Avoid this place!

Nice location. Place feels more like a tourist stop than high end restaurant. Sushi was fine but not high end. We did not do the cooking show so no comment, just ate sushi.

10/10 for this place, extra stars!! Every time I visit the waitresses are amazing, very understanding and sweet, food comes out not too fast and not too slow, teppanyaki is one of my favorite features of this place and the chef will always be bubbly and joyful, quite an amazing place

Friendly, polite professional staff. The teppanyaki chef was great with our family of 6. Can't wait to go again.

We had the lobster roll for an appetizer (we grabbed a bit before I thought to take a photo). It was delicious and larger than expected. The hot sake/plum wine mix was nice - not too sweet and good for a chilly day.

For late lunch I had the chicken katsu. It was tender and juicy with just the right amount of crunch. Hubby had the mixed tempura lunch. The batter is light and not overly greasy.

If you have any food allergies - avoid this place at all cost as the staff doesn’t take this serious. Told waiter about my shellfish allergy and he failed to tell me the spring roll I ordered had shrimp in it. The menu said ebi which I didn’t realize was a type of grilled shrimp. Fortunately my husband noticed the shrimp buried in the roll before I ate more than a bite. Food allergies need to be taken seriously, especially if the customer asks the staff to confirm if no cross contamination will be an issue and they say it will not be a problem.

If you have any food allergies - avoid this place at all cost as the staff doesn’t take this serious.

Before ordering I told the waiter about my shellfish allergy and confirmed it would not be a problem for the kitchen to take precautions to confirm no cross contamination with my food to include changing gloves and clean cutting boards. He indicated it would not be an issue. I ordered the spring rolls as appetizer not knowing that ebi on the menu is a type of grilled shrimp and is included in the spring. rolls. The waiter I had just told I have a shellfish allergy to also didn’t mention it when I placed the order. Fortunately my husband realized there was shrimp buried in the rolls after I took only a couple of bites.

I carry an epi pen because my reaction is so bad that I can potentially die from my throat closing shut.

The waiter apologized and said he “forgot.” Then I was worried he hadn’t actually asked the kitchen staff not to prep my food separately so I chose not to eat anything out of caution.

Food allergies are serious and need to be taken serious. I realize not all restaurants can accommodate so that’s why I ask up front.

We planned on going somewhere else for an early lunch, but saw that this place was closer to the water, so we picked it, and I'm so glad we did! Everything was delicious! We got a few different sushi rolls (black kitty, Jessica, and the dungeness roll) and they were all phenomenal - especially the Jessica according to my group. The shrimp tempura appetizer is delicious, the don katsu, or something like that, is delicious, my only wish was that the chicken came on top of the eggs so it can have a crunch to it, but the flavor was perfect! This was a very happy little accident, so I definitely recommend it! Plus, we saw a sea lion swimming around near the restaurant!
