We have been dining here for many years. The food was always excellent. Yesterday it was only so so. It was as if a new owner had taken over and had a very limited understanding of sushi because previously the food was always at least a 9 out of 10. Yesterday it was a 3 to 5.

So it looks like the took my last review down. I was in there this week, got chicken teriyaki, and bit into a full on bone shard or piece. It was small enough to be in the bite but long enough to stab my mouth, choke me, or crack a tooth. My server said a manager would come by, no one ever did. They remade the chicken but why would I want to still eat that?? I didnt finish it. Nothing was taken off or any discount for it. Horrible service which was heart breaking having eaten there for years.

They hired a well known animal abuser Danielle Brown out of Oregon where she was charged with numerous accounts of animal abuse/neglect against other people animals by leveraging a business that would starve peoples pets.

This is a special place for a nice relaxing summer down meal with family and friends. A unique menu of Japanese and Italian food with fresh seafood. Standard dining experience or teppanyaki, which is a fun show. I have been going for teppanyaki for my birthday once a year. And beautiful view of the Humboldt Bay and the docks, see the wildlife.

The waitress was not friendly and made you feel as if you were burdening her if you asked for salt. I tipped accordingly. The food is mediocre to b minus and expensive considering the quality.
