Have loved it in the past but recent experience was disappointing. Oysters were not crispy, fish was overcooked, long wait due to understaffing despite a nearly empty restaurant; we were told conflicting information by various staff (no reservations for outdoor seating, we’ll get seated outside if space opens up - there were empty tables but we were not seated and then were told that there’s now a waitlist even though I called in advance, asked the staff upon arrival, checked...
When we walked in and sat down and asked about recommendations the waiteress pointed out literally the 3 most expensive items on the list and didn't mention her opinion just said they were well spoken for. The highlight was the clam chowder which was actually really good and if you wanted to get anything here I would recommend that but the red snapper had little to no flavor it felt like I was eating just seasoning. I think they had an off night. The chowder was served hot, in a timely manner and was great tasting, giving us hope for this restaurant. The rest of the service and food was ok. We waited quite awhile before the rest of the meal came. The fish tacos were barely warm and the fries were not even warm. The halibut was cooked well but I think it sat awhile before it was served. The atmosphere was nice, the staff was helpful but I think they were overwhelmed and it was just an off...
