Tried multiple times to like it based on others' reviews. Every time was a mouth full of salt, which I guess is how many like it.

Woah! This was probably THE best chimichanga/bean & rice burrito we've ever had. We were visiting NorCal in December and went looking for vegan food. We saw that there were vegan-friendly options here and decided to give it a try. (Food pics looked good.)It's a tiny kitchen within a golf shop, which made me a little uncertain, but YES! This will be our go-to burrito place next time we're up this way.Chips were outstanding. Yes, the chips! I could eat their homemade chips and bean dip all day. Burrito/chimichanga was so good. Guava al Fresca is what I crave now. Thank you for recommending it!Extra love and appreciation for the owners' care and attention to detail, a clean and tidy kitchen and earth friendly, biodegradable disposables.

The best made from scratch Mexican food in Humboldt county. The food has a burst of flavor in every bite and they use fresh and local ingredients. The wait can be a little long but that's because they are making everything fresh to order. Worth every second and every penny!

The food is amazing. You want taste, you get it. Not just another blNd Mexican food restaurant with heat choice and no flavor. You get it both here. Food is outstanding, but prepare for a longer than usual wait. Not much atmosphere aside from the outdoor view of the golf course.

So worth finding this spot. We questioned if we were even in the right place because it's situated on a golf course, but it is, and it's so worth checking out. Such amazing food!

Amazing food and most importantly consistent with the flavor. Yes, the prices might be higher than other Mexican restaurants but I have yet to eat anything less than excellent. Definitely call in the order when possible and it is not a typical sit down, they have booths and outside seating but everything is served in disposable plates and cutlery, but it's sustainable/ compostable.

Was very disappointed in the food. Dry with no sauce or salsa. Food was not presented as represented in menu. No salsa and chips with meal or even asked if we wanted any! The utensils were plastic!!! Sorry but when i go in a restaurant with fairly high prices i do expect regular plates and silverware. Will not be going back. The kid/man who took orders was pleasant but didn't seem like he was familiar with their food/cooking as he should have been.

Came here about a month ago with my husband and we were blown away by how tasty the food is here. I ordered the surf and turf nachos. The shrimp and meat was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. My husband loved his burrito bowl. We had to try a keto taco. I mean cheese as a shell yes please! We love hot sauces so we ordered all 5 and was not disappointed. The owner came over and asked if we had any questions and chatted for a bit. Friendly staff. Will definitely be coming back.

Delicious aguas frescas! All three aguas frescas where just perfect! Tried their tacos, al pastor and asada where my favorite. The red and green salsa were just the right amount of spicy. The appetizer of chips and bean dip were a unique experience. The price was right for the fresh food. Plastic free straws that don't dissolve, plastic free cutlery, and what I belive to be bamboo plates was just another reason too support this business and come by soon.

Low key casual dining with sustainable atmosphere and tons of vegan options. Horchata is as delicious.

My #1 favorite restaurant in Humboldt County. Great food at a great price. Honestly I'm not a burrito guy so it took me a while to try one here, but Cocina Mariposa changed my mind and has my now favorite burrito of all time - shredded chicken with beans, rice, and salsa. Perfectly seasoned, great portions all around, and simply mouthwatering. Also, if you haven't come for breakfast to try their chilaquiles, you're missing out.

We love eating here! They have a separate veggie menu and staff is good with changing up vegetarian items to be vegan friendly. The owner is super sweet and the food is some of the best!
