Place serves authentic Mexican food and is delicious. Visiting from Southern California and having a plethora of Mexican restaurants down there this place is absolutely authentic Mexican food . The tlayuda is absolutely delicious! Definitely coming back here when visiting

We cannot recommend Cocina Oaxaquena enough!!! We ordered the huevos a la Mexicana with asada and two al pastor tacos, and let me just say - these were the best al pastors we’ve had in over four years! Having lived in DC and Seattle, we’ve missed the authentic Mexican food from South Texas, and this was not only as good but maybe even better than what we remember from back home.
On top of the incredible food, their espresso and drip coffee were absolutely perfect. They even gave us horchata with both - and let me tell you, the dirty horchata was hands down the best I’ve ever had. We’re still thinking about it!
To finish off, we had their chocolate flan, which was out of this world. It was the perfect end to such an amazing meal. We are so happy we stopped here on our Redwoods road trip and can’t rave enough about the experience. Thank y’all so much for such delicious food and kind service!

As soon as you walk in, your nose is greeted by the warm, happy aromas of spices, reminiscent of being at a grandma’s house. We ordered the chilaquiles verdes, and they were absolutely delicious! I dislike soggy chilaquiles, but these were warm and covered in a velvety green sauce, with perfectly crispy tortillas. I added chicken, which elevated the entire breakfast. My husband had the meladas, smothered in the most delectable Oaxaca mole.
Amazing food. The mole chilaquiles were so so good. I forgot to take a picture before I dug in. That's how good it was. Came back the next day for mole enchiladas.

I am from Kent WA and I'm visiting here in the NorCal area... My wife and I wanted Mexican and decided upon the little location... Love the atmosphere and the staff were amazing.. The food was beyond delicious... I must say I wish this place was in Seattle... I would be eating there 3-4 days a week. No questions asked!!!

A to go lunch for my staff blew our minds with freshness, amazing salsa and The real tortillas .my gosh, if you haven’t gone, your sleeping on this little hole in the wall .
Yummy yummy yummy, the tacos were delicious, had the el pastor, and asada both were seasoned great. The Popeye skillet was delicious too, the potatoes were crispy and sourdough bread tasty. Overall great place will definitely be coming back

Truly authentic Mexican food made from scratch by the owners. I have been there many times and have tried various dishes and was never disappointed. Everything is prepared right there in the open view kitchen where you can see them cook. Fresh and hot. This restaurant is an asset to Cutten.
