We didn’t have to wait for our table when we arrive because we’ve already made reservations for a large party. We got our menus right away, server didn’t come take order until 30mins after we sat down. While the waitress was taking our orders, we notice she was rolling her eyes at us, giving us an attitude. She didn’t finish taking our orders, she just collected all the menu. She didn’t even offer or ask what we would like to drink besides water and just left. One of our friend didn’t get to order so we had to go find our waitress, and order for her. We told our waitress and other waitress/waiter who work there that night many times(more than 3x) we haven’t order our drinks yet and we would like to order our drinks. Our food came, then the waitress came took our drinks order, then came back saying sorry there’s no more carbs drink (sodas). Oh great! Our group felt ignored by the waitress and that our presence was not valued, which is especially disappointing for a large party. My point is, we got very poor customer service at this restaurant. The waitress clearly needs retraining in customer service to provide a positive and welcoming experience for guests. It was our first time there, and surely will be our last. Will be telling friends and family to avoid this place in the future.

Humboldt Bay Bistro is a charming place with amazing sunset views. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The food is absolutely delicious. The crab cakes are a must. The local fish and risotto is delicious as well as the ribeye. You really can’t go wrong with anything off the menu. It’s a great place for a date night or get together with your friends. I send all my out of town visitors there. This is a Humboldt County treasure.

Worst service ever received!!!!! First time and never again going there. Paid for so much for a super bad server. Merilee was our server, she came and ordered our food with a super bad attitude, didnt even let us finish ordering our food and took the meun already. Asked to order our drinks 3 times from 3 different server and no one never came to orderd it until we got our food already!!! She bumped some sauce to the floor and never came and cleaned it! She took some finished appetizers plates and made sauce fell all over my sisters hand and purse! Give us a bad attitude!!! Almost got up and left that place!

Seafood pasta was overcooked, not fresh tasting. Oysters not shucked well (lots of broken shell in oysters) and sauces were bland. Crabcake was ok. Underwhelming food overall.
Fish Tacos were delicious. Nice view of the bay. Service was disappointing- we were asked to sit at the bar as we walked in without a reservation. The place had number of free tables till the time they closed.

Cute little spot we stumbled upon while staying at the Pinc Lady Victorian Mansion in town. The roasted oysters were OUTTA THIS WORLD and I'm an oyster snob! The halibut was also delicious and the service was just as great! When in Eureka, we will make sure to drop in again.
