Disappointed sadly. The hot and sour soup and the wonton soup were missing the mark. The Szechuan tofu was ok but the sweet and sour shrimp sauce was lacking flavor and vegetables were not as fresh as we had hoped. The place needs some love and we can overlook the decor or lack of if the food is wonderful, but in this case both need some help to make Hunans as good as we remember it from years ago..
I loved the place. I soooo needed real quality food and wasn't disappointed. Everything was freshly made, delicious and the service was really good. If you're just staying for a night, as I did, visit THIS restaurant.

I just read this review and… I’m shaking my head, I am a local who’s been eating here for a long time and this honestly made me laugh out loud, not only am I a very dark skinned person but there is many dark skinned staff members at this restaurant so this comment comes off very unbelievable to me.
