I got the Pad Keep Mao with tofu and vegetables. The portions are ginormous. The noodles themselves felt as though they had been cooked hours ago as they felt hard and too chewy. The carrots didn’t taste or look fresh. The vegetarian pho was bland, lacking any flavor.

The food here is really not very good. It's not rotten or awful, just kind of boring and cheaply made. Too much sugar. Not enough vegetables. It's not like they really took the time to try to adapt this place to not being *in* Vietnam. To be clear, I have traveled for months in Vietnam, and there's a lot of good food to be had there, but a lot of it is heavy on the sugar and the msg and cheap ingredients. At this place, they didn't even have any real fish: just fish cakes and fish balls--Think Spam but made with random fish parts. The broth in the soup was super bland, and flavored mostly with sugar. I really hope the owners read this and make some effort to study some other local Asian food places. I would love it if this place could improve, not shut down.

I have had the chicken Pho a couple of times, it is always flavorful and delicious. Just the right amount of flavor and spice and with plenty of meat. Not too salty so you can add if you like. There are 4 kinds of noodles you can choose from. The large bowl is huge and they have an extra condiment tray that has crunchy chili and ground peanuts. Awesome!

When we entered this place was almost empty. Should have known. Only ordered 5 items but was charged for 6 items.
Eggrolls contained corn kernels which was different. The servers sleeve touched the top of our rice. My partner preferred not to say anything to him so we didn’t. We ended up scraping off the top and tossing it aside. The chicken in the pho tasted a bit raw almost as if the chicken was blanched instead of cooked. The noodles were definitely “day old” because it was hard and chewy. Our water glasses had things (debris) floating inside so we ordered soda instead. We do not recommend this place.

do not go here. Humboldt is a small town country place so don’t be fooled by good reviews . I’ve never been to a restaurant that’s straight up nasty. We ordered fried rice and it smelled like bad fish… if u look at other reviews someone said it too. On the table it just smelled disgusting it was making me gag. Don’t go here. They’ve also been closed down for health code violations. Asian restaurants that are bomb in Eurrke are Siam Orchid, Sushi spot, Hunan. Ginger. Curry leaf. I recommend siam orchid if you want a place with a similar menu go to arcata 15 min to like Pho Hoang
