As a road weary traveller I felt renewed by the outstanding French onion soup. The pumpkin risotto was spectacular and so filling. Our waitress was incredibly kind accommodating in regards to allergies. We loved everything we had.
It was a special get together with a lady friend of mine. I like going to places for the first time.. My lady friend And I love food especially when I'm paying for it.
My wife and I had dinner and breakfast at this lovely restaurant. Food was excellent, service was too! It's small with lots of windows.
The staff makes every effort to please. Ambience is just so so however, food and service were fabulous. Very friendly staff.
We were staying at the hotel and this is conveniently the restaurant off the lobby. We had to move our reservation because of a late arrival in Eureka. Very accommodating. They have a tasting menu. It included a "chef's surprise" with several tasty items on it. We both had the Carter salad which was very fresh. For main meals, I selected the scallops and my wife the steak. Both were excellent as were the accompanying vegetables and potatoes. Food was hot (temperature) and cooked to our liking. Deserts were also very good. Topped off with some excellent wine--it was a surprisingly strong meal experience for a place like Eureka, California. Might add, Kat was an excellent waitress---all be it very chatty.
The sweetest spot in Eureka! Breakfast was outstanding. Dinner was beautifully presented and the service staff kind, helpful and efficient. The food quality for dinner was fine -- there could have been a more seamless blend of spices, sauces, and flavors. The salad was our favorite of all of the courses.
What a fabulous experience from the amazing food, to the great wine pairings to the service. Especially the service!! Our waitress was knowledgeable, attentive and very personable. When we are in the area, we will be back. đ
We enjoyed an absolutely lovely Mother's Day brunch this weekend! Each offering - from amuse bouche to dessert was unique, creative and delicious. The welcome mimosas were a lovely touch! Our server graciously allowed just the right amount of time between courses. We appreciated the chef's flavor combinations, attention to detail and presentation. We plan to return to Restaurant 301 whenever we visit the area!
We have been coming to Restaurant 301 for almost 26 years. We had our wedding reception dinner here inïżŒ 1999. We have seen the impact of Covid on restaurants. It has been challenging. Fortunately Restaurant 301 has weathered the storm. We had an absolutely delightful and delicious Prix Fixe tasting menu dinner with paired wines on Friday May 9th, 2025. Our Hostess was informative, attentive and paced our meal perfectly. It began with amuseïżŒ-buoche trio paired with a RosĂ© brut. This was followed by a starter course, entrĂ©e course and dessert. The starter and entrĂ©e course are paired with 2 wines per course. To be clear these are tasting pours, but I would say by the end of the tasting menu it is the equivalent of 3 glasses of wine. The Chef is talented and inspired, each course was exquisite. The 301 is back! I'd recommend trying the Prix Fixe dinner WITH the paired wines (if you enjoy wine) as a special night out or anytime you want to enjoy a spectacular meal.
The only restaurant in Eureka with enough brass to serve an amuse-bouche (at least I've yet to see that teaser anywhere else in Humboldt). Menu varies with seasons. My tastes tend towards smaller dishes for a variety of flavors. In a half dozen visits over a year+ the food itself was đ. It would be a 4â in the Bay Area. In Eureka it's as good as it gets for upscale.

Wow. Where do I beginâŠ
Diana is a phenomenal presence, waitress and bartender.
The food was perfection in every way. The tasting menu with set options made it easy to choose. And between all of the options, I didnât find a single item that wasnât delectable.
Hanger steak, soup, crÚme brûlée, chicken cacciatore. Everything was amazing.
A quite unique vibe with caring and intentional service.

Outstanding meal. From the moment we entered the restaurant to when we left the experience was awesome. One of the best meals I have ever had. And the service was perfect
The new prix fixe concept is very for good for this lovely small restaurant, if a bit steep for Eureka. The entrees and salads in our group were delicious, as was the short list of wines by the glass. The Amuse and desserts were nice and creative, though we might have preferred to skip these and have a smaller bill. Service is a bit annoying, varying between fawning (âMy darlingâ), snippy (âcoffee is in the lobbyâ) and irritatingly fast and tidy, picking up every item one by one every few minutes while we tried for a relaxed evening.
We had a wonderful experience! Gabriel gave us awesome service and Ian was an expert bartender. The food was excellent!
Band was â Calico,â they were great!
