Last night we went to Jerk Kitchen in Eureka for dinner. Neither my wife nor I have ever eaten Jamaican before. So it was time to try it out.
When we entered the restaurant was empty except for two people waiting for their take away. The guest room was very simply furnished, the walls were painted with Jamaican motifs and the tables had plastic over the tablecloth. The owner, a Jamaican - logical, was very friendly and helpful, advising us on the choice of food.
My wife chose the Jamaican slow-cooked chicken curry and I ordered the traditional Jamaican-spiced oxtail.
We noticed that the restaurant isn't really focused on dine-in, but rather take-out. So we received our food in the familiar boxes with plastic cutlery but it was brought to the table. We were very happy about the unfamiliar but very tasty food. The portions were sufficient even for a very healthy appetite.
Our conclusion: We enjoyed the food very much. The staff was very friendly. Eating out of a box and with plastic cutlery was absolutely not right for us. If you don't feel a certain sense of well-being while eating - even if it tastes very good - then this is not a place we would go to again.

I never tried Jamaican food before so asked what was best. They recommended the ox tail and omg, was it amazing. The meat was so tender I literally pulled it off the bone with a spoon. The food was so good my friend doordashed from them when he saw it. If you never give them a shot then you're missing out.
Dietary restrictions: Only one dish on the entire menu has dairy in it.

It was so much more then amazing food for me! My first sip of there cucumber, carrot, and ginger juice I was transported back to my favorite juice stand in Negril. This will be our go to when we come down from the mountain. Thank you for wonderful food and bringing back some great memories!
The food was amazing, a little bit of confusion with my order happened so it took quite a while. But I can say it was very busy there. The inside was nice and so was the outside.

What a gem! Authentic Jamaican food and atmosphere in an unexpected place! We stopped on our way up the coastal highway for lunch and it was such a treat! We got jerk chicken tacos, acee and saltfish, mac and cheese, coconut rice, plantains. The spice level was just right for our family of four—even the teenagers liked it. I’m not from Jamaica but lived in south Florida for four years and this was every bit as tasty as the jerk chicken and other Jamaican food we ate in FL.

Kid-friendliness: This was definitely a place to bring your kids to, very kid friendly and the owners family was around and participating in the care of the environment too.
