We were on our way to Sequoia and wanted to pick up some thing for lunch to take to the park. Everywhere in town was closed for the holiday but thankfully Baja Mex was open. They are cash only and we only had a $20 bill. The owners were very kind and helped us figure out how to spread our cash three ways for our meals. I've never been there. I'm vegetarian, so I wonder how vegetarian friendly they are. Do they use lard in the beans and some kind of meat broth in the rice?? Anybody know? (I know people like lard in their beans for the flavor. That is so great but I've grown accustomed to lardless refried beans, and they are great and better for you and for my heart. Did I say better?
